Systems, apparatus and methods for verifying locations
A system, method and method for verifying a location of a mobile device by providing instructions to a user of the mobile device to physically manipulate the mobile device, and determining whether the mobile device was, in fact, physically manipulated according to the instructions.
GPS SEED FOR GAME PLAY
A seed number for use in generating aspects of a game world may be formed using GPS location information of a game device. The game device may include GPS circuitry for providing the GPS location information.
GAME SYSTEM AND GAME PROGRAM
A game system and program include a game DB storing game data, a game server connected to the game DB, and a portable terminal having function of connecting to the game server via internet, and function of detecting its own positional information by receiving time signals from GPS satellites. When a player sets a target place moving from a player's own position in a real world and walks on a road in the real world to reach the target place, the system calculates and provides a reward based on a relationship between the target place and the player's own position according to a reward calculation function. In the case of setting an automatic response without player's operation (walk mode) to a game element previously arranged in a route, the system progresses a game only by the player's walking without paying close attention to a terminal screen of the portable terminal.
Systems and methods for training and applying virtual occurrences with modifiable outcomes to a virtual character using telematics data of one or more real trips
Method and system for updating a character profile of a virtual character of a telematics-based game. In some examples, a computer-implemented method includes: generating a virtual trip including one or more virtual occurrences with the associated one or more outcomes; presenting a trip success prediction, a predicted change in vehicle condition, a first user-selectable command, and a second user-selectable command to the user; upon receiving the user's selection of the first user-selectable command, updating the character profile by at least initiating the virtual trip with the virtual character; upon receiving the user's selection of the second user-selectable command: updating the one or more outcomes according to a predetermined adjustment; and updating the character profile by at least initiating the virtual trip with the virtual character based on the updated one or more outcomes.
DYNAMIC QUEST-BASED NARRATIVE FOR AMUSEMENT PARK
A dynamic quest-based experience system of an amusement park includes a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the processor to receive a user input from a computing device indicative of starting a dynamic quest-based narrative, in which the dynamic quest-based narrative includes a plurality of sets of information. The instructions further cause the processor to place an identifier associated with the computing device in a virtual queue associated with a narrative endpoint of the amusement park, select a set of information from the plurality of sets of information based on a determined parameter, wherein the set of information is associated with a requested task, and output the set of information to the computing device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING USER INTERACTION WITH A SIMULATED OBJECT ASSOCIATED WITH A PHYSICAL LOCATION
A method of facilitating interaction, via a device, with a simulated object that is associated with a physical object other than a user at a physical location in a real environment is provided. The method includes rendering a user interface including a map of a physical location, receiving a selection of a region on the map made by the user via the user interface, obtaining location data of the device while displaying at least one image obtained by a camera of the device, in response to determining that the location data obtained by the device satisfies a criterion specifying where the simulated object associated with the physical object can be generated, providing a simulated object with the at least one image obtained by the camera, and automatically adjusting the simulated object based on change of a motion of the device.
LOCATION-BASED GAMES AND AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEMS
Handheld location based games are provided in which a user's physical location correlates to the virtual location of a virtual character on a virtual playfield.
Augmented Reality (AR) systems are provided in which video game indicia are overlaid onto a user's physical environment. A landscape detector is provided that may obtain information about the user's landscape, in addition to the user's location, in order to provide overlaying information to an AR head-mounted display and control information to non-user controlled video game characters.
Location based reward distribution system
Embodiments of the invention broadly contemplate a location based rewards distribution system. Various embodiments of the invention provide rewards, for example video game unlock codes, based on a user physically visiting a specific physical location.
INTERFACE SYSTEM, PROGRAM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR LOCATION GAME
The present invention is provided with: a virtual display data generating unit which generates fantasy blocks according the progress of a game accompanied by the movement of a user; a synthesis processing unit which superimposes the generated fantasy blocks on a real map and displays the superimposed result; and a status display unit which displays a change in status of a virtual object, wherein the status display unit groups the fantasy blocks for each prescribed attribute, and displays, for each group, the proportion of the number of blocks for which the statuses have changed, in each group.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULATING EVENTS ON SMART CITIES
A method and system, including a device having a processor and instructions stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium. In the system and method, data is identified and collected that is required to simulate a geographical area. The data is input into a simulation engine that runs a simulation of the geographical area. A scenario is identified to apply to the simulation, wherein the scenario is identified through employment on non-simulated data. The scenario is applied to the simulation by revising the data that is input to the simulation engine.
