Flare Stack Diffuser Tip
20220034506 · 2022-02-03 ·

There is a flare stack diffuser tip for use with a flare stack having a waste gas conduit. The flare stack diffuser tip has one or more concentric diffuser rings. One or more radial transfer spokes connect to the waste gas conduit of the flare stack to receive waste gas. The one or more radial transfer spokes is in fluid connection with the one or more concentric diffuser rings.

Flare burner for a combustible gas

A flare burner for burning combustible waste gases with a manifold, a plurality of arms, and a plurality of outlets disposed on the plurality of arms. The arms may be perpendicular to the manifold. The arms may also extend outwardly from the manifold. The arms may extend into annuli, to produce oppositely flowing exit gas. A curved dispersing surface may be disposed above the manifold. The arms may comprise a curvilinear shape, or include both a linear and a curvilinear portion. The outlets are configured and spaced such that flame is short relative to size of the flare burner.

Burner for flare stack

A flare gas burner and a process for disposing of a waste gas using such a burner. The burner has a rounded outer surface that includes a plurality of dimples. The dimples increase the mixing of the waste gas and ambient air prior to combustion. The flare gas burner may have a diameter of 0.61 m and between 300 and 400 dimples. The flare gas burner may comprise a cast material.

APPARATUS FOR MONITORING LEVEL OF ASSIST GAS TO INDUSTRIAL FLARE

A remote sensing system which may be assembled with an Infrared (IR) sensor, or a plurality of IR sensors, disposed to sense IR radiance emitted as combustion products from a flare stack in two distinctive spectral bands, each band having a narrow spectral bandpass, the sensor being radiometrically calibrated to sense transmission characteristics of the two distinctive bands of the radiance from flare combustion gases; and an analyzer driven by a microcontroller, coupled to the IR sensor, to operationally respond in real time by generating an indication of flare stack's performance through a parameter derived from a ratio of the transmission characteristics of the two radiance outputs sensed by the IR sensor. The IR sensor of this flare monitoring-apparatus must be positioned in such a way that the anticipated entire flame will be captured within the Field of View (FoV) of the IR sensor, or sensors.
