Spatially-correlated multi-display human-machine interface
A human-machine interface involves plural spatially-coherent visual presentation surfaces at least some of which are movable by a person. Plural windows or portholes into a virtual space, at least some of which are handheld and movable, are provided by using handheld and other display devices. Aspects of multi-dimensional spatiality of the moveable window (e.g., relative to another window) are determined and used to generate images. As one example, the moveable window can present a first person perspective porthole view into the virtual space, this porthole view changing based on aspects of the moveable window's spatiality in multi-dimensional space relative to a stationary window. A display can present an image of a virtual space, and an additional, moveable display can present an additional image of the same virtual space.
Display control apparatus and display control method
A gaming apparatus includes a position control section and a display control section. The position control section controls a position of an object arranged in a virtual 3D space based on a relative position between an input apparatus used by a user wearing a head-mounted display and the head-mounted display. The display control section generates an image in the virtual 3D space including the object and displays the image on the head-mounted display. When a distance between the input apparatus and the head-mounted display is equal to a first distance or more, the position control section linearly changes the object position in response to a change in position of the input apparatus. When the distance between the input apparatus and the head-mounted display is less than the first distance, the position control section determines the object position in accordance with a criterion different from that used when the distance between the input apparatus and the head-mounted display is equal to the first distance or more.

An information processing apparatus displays an image on a display, directly communicates wirelessly with another information processing apparatus, and also receives a plurality of operation input data from a plurality of operation devices. Then, the information processing apparatus performs game processing for a communication game based on the plurality of operation input data and received information, and based on the game processing, generates, by screen splitting, game images including images on which operations on the plurality of respective operation devices are reflected, and causes the game images to be displayed on the display.

An example computing device includes a touch screen display; wireless communication circuitry; one or more processors; and memory for storing a browser program for displaying web pages on the touch screen display. POSITION-DEPENDENT GAMING, 3-D CONTROLLER, AND HANDHELD AS A REMOTE
Methods and systems for using a position of a mobile device with an integrated display as an input to a video game or other presentation are presented. Embodiments include rendering an avatar on a mobile device such that it appears to overlay a competing user in the real world. Using the mobile device's position, view direction, and the other user's mobile device position, an avatar (or vehicle, etc.) is depicted at an apparently inertially stabilized location of the other user's mobile device or body. Some embodiments may estimate the other user's head and body positions and angles and reflect them in the avatar's gestures.

Systems and methods are disclosed for interactive content management. In one implementation, one or more inputs are received. The one or more inputs are processed to identify one or more content presentation surfaces. Based on an identification of the one or more content presentation surfaces, a first content item is modified. The first content item, as modified, is presented in relation to the one or more content presentation surfaces.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES AND CONTROLLERS THEREFOR
Systems and methods of multi-participant interactive experiences are disclosed. Participants located location can interact with one another and share gaming, educational and other experiences. The system includes a coordination node to coordinate experiences between participants and one or more of interactive nodes. At each interactive node there is a main display that shows shared information to each of the participants and to other viewers. Each of the participants also uses a personal controller such as a smart phone which has a personal display. Information that is specific to the participant can be displayed on the personal controller.

An example game system includes a controller device, and a game process section for performing a game process based on an operation on the controller device. The controller device includes a plurality of direction input sections, a sensor section for obtaining a physical quantity used for calculating an attitude of the controller device, and a display section for displaying a game image. The game process section first calculates the attitude of the controller device based on the physical quantity obtained by the sensor section. Then, the game process section controls an attitude of a virtual camera in a virtual space based on the attitude of the controller device, and controls a position of the virtual camera based on an input on the direction input section. A game image to be displayed on the display section is generated based on the position and the attitude of the virtual camera.
