A pellet stove, having a pellet hopper, a combustion chamber, a heat exchanger and a pellet movement assembly, adapted to move the pellets from the hopper into the combustion chamber. The pellet movement assembly is located and configured so as to be heated by exhaust gases from the combustion chamber and the pellets spend a sufficient amount of time in the pellet movement assembly, where oxygen is prevented from freely flowing in, so that the pellets are torrefied during transit to the combustion chamber.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONVEYING BULK MATERIAL INTO A PRESSURE CHAMBER
20180022554 · 2018-01-25 · ·

A device for continually conveying dust-like or granular bulk materials into a pressure Chamber, having an inlet opening through which the bulk material is supplied or discharged from a bulk material storage, a housing which is arranged along a rotational axis, a conveying region which adjoins the inlet opening, and a shaft which rotates in the housing and which has a conveyor arranged on the circumference. The rotational axis, the housing and the shaft are arranged vertically, and a seal in the form of a regeneratable material seal stopper. The seal sealing the pressure chamber, is arranged in the conveyor region between the pressure chamber and the inlet opening. The housing has a polygon, a cannelure, or at least one helically running groove on the housing inner wall, and the orientation of the polygon, the cannelure, or the groove runs substantially perpendicularly to the two-dimensional orientation of the conveyor.

HUMIDITY DETECTION-BASED PELLET GRILL CONTROL METHOD AND FEEDING SYSTEM OF PELLET GRILL

The present invention relates to a humidity detection-based pellet grill control method and a feeding system of a pellet grill, where the pellet grill is energized so that the feeding system thereof and a humidity sensor on the feeding system are in an energized state; and the humidity sensor is used to continuously monitor humidity of a fuel conveying channel of the feeding system in which a pellet fuel has been stored, so that a controller determines humidity level of a space environment or the pellet fuel in the fuel conveying channel. This can prevent the fuel that has become powdered due to moisture from drying into hard lumps again in the fuel conveying channel which can result in blockage of a screw conveyor, thus protecting the feeding system and reducing maintenance costs.

Wall mounted pellet stove

A wood pellet stove operable to mount to a wall includes a combustion chamber, a combustion chamber door, and a hopper. The combustion chamber has a front, back, and side. The combustion chamber door is in the front of the combustion chamber. The hopper is mounted at the side of the combustion chamber. The bottom of the hopper is below a top of the combustion chamber, and a top of the hopper is substantially coplanar with the top of the combustion chamber. The stove may also include a sight glass or fuel level monitoring system for determining a fuel level of the hopper without opening the hopper.

Biomass gasification system

A biomass gasification system for producing aqueous or water gases after biomass has been carbonized is disclosed. Temperatures of a thermal decomposition and gasification furnace can be quickly and uniformly stabilized with smaller thermal loss. Reaction residuals after thermal decomposition and gasification are prevented from adhering on the inner surface of the system. The biomass gasification system comprises: a main body, a first cylindrical member, a first cut-out member, a first cylinder accommodating therein a first screw conveyor, a second cylindrical member, a second cut-out member, a second cylinder accommodating therein a second screw conveyor. The first cylinder is so constructed that it penetrates the main body, the first cylindrical member and the first cut-out member in an axial direction. The first screw conveyor, the second screw conveyor and the second cut-out member have a plurality of gasifying agent ports, respectively.

Hopper cleanout and pellet handling mechanism

A system having a hopper that receives fuel pellets and direct the pellets under gravity feed to an auger that moves the pellets into a firepot inside a cooking chamber of a grill. The system includes a door below the auger that has a closed position that retains fuel pellets in the auger such that the fuel pellets feed to the auger, and has an opened position to allows the pellets to empty from the hopper and away from the auger. A closing mechanism allows a user to selectively open or close the door.

JAMMING RESISTANT AUGER FOR COOKER

The present invention relates to an improved auger system for delivering combustible material to a burn box within a cooker, such as a grill or smoker. The invention features a pivotable coupling between the auger shaft and the drive motor, enabling the auger to adjust its alignment within the tube to accommodate irregularly shaped materials, thus minimizing jamming and improving the consistency of material delivery. In some embodiments, the system also incorporates a mechanism to prevent material bridging in the hopper, ensuring the continuous flow of material into the auger tube as well as an auger cover flap pivotably mounted at the outlet end of an auger tube, which is configured to control the flow of combustible material from the auger tube into the burn box.

PELLET GRILL

A cooking grill includes a multi-compartment solid fuel hopper, a burn pot, and a tapered auger blade disposed between the solid fuel hopper and the burn pot. The grill further includes a transparent window for viewing solid fuel in the auger system, a smoke tap connected to a cooking chamber of the grill, and a steam drawer.
