VEHICLE HEATER
20190054800 · 2019-02-21 ·

A vehicle heater housing (46) has an inlet area (49), an outlet area (51) and an air flow space (47) for air to be heated with a burner chamber assembly unit (30), to be fed with combustion air and fuel. A heat exchanger area (11), including a heat exchanger housing (12), is elongated in the direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L) with an outer side (24) around which air flowing in the air flow space flows. Heat transfer ribs are on a side of the heat exchanger housing. The heater housing has a housing circumferential wall (56) and an outlet front wall area (58). The heat transfer ribs have a longitudinal edge (64) extending along the housing circumferential wall and a radial edge extending along the outlet front wall area. A distance of the radial edge from the outlet front wall area changes from radially outwards to radially inwards.

A combustor assembly for a turbine engine includes a liner panel defining a portion of an inner surface of a combustor chamber, liner panel including an end face transverse the inner surface, and at least one diffuser through the end face. A liner panel and a method are also disclosed.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY POWER GENERATION USING A CARBON DIOXIDE CIRCULATING WORKING FLUID

The present invention provides methods and system for power generation using a high efficiency combustor in combination with a CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. The methods and systems advantageously can make use of a low pressure ratio power turbine and an economizer heat exchanger in specific embodiments. Additional low grade heat from an external source can be used to provide part of an amount of heat needed for heating the recycle CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. Fuel derived CO.sub.2 can be captured and delivered at pipeline pressure. Other impurities can be captured.

Apparatus and methods for treating and/or utilizing a gaseous medium
10151488 · 2018-12-11 · ·

Example apparatus and methods providing for the improved chemical conversion of the combustible components of a gaseous medium are disclosed. In some examples, the apparatus includes a guiding body that guides the flow of the gaseous medium within a reaction chamber of the apparatus. In some examples, the guiding body of the disclosed apparatus is configured to stabilize a residence period of the gaseous medium in the reaction chamber. In some examples, the guiding body results in a flow path of the gaseous medium within the reaction chamber being optimized and/or maximized, and/or results in a short circuit flow of the gaseous medium in the reaction chamber being suppressed. In some disclosed examples, the guiding body causes at least a portion of the flow path of the gaseous medium within the reaction chamber to take the form of a cyclone flow.

COMBUSTOR BASKET COOLING RING

A cooling ring (102) of a combustor basket system (110) has a transition zone 108 that extends to a cooling channel (106) at a cooling channel entrance (104). The transition zone (108) has the substantially the same material strength throughout the length of the transition zone (108). By having the same material strength throughout the length of the transition zone (108), the cooling ring (102) is able to withstand greater stresses than previously used cooling rings. One way in which this is accomplished is by having a uniform thickness.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMBUSTION OF NON-GASEOUS FUELS AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods that are useful for one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to combustor apparatuses and methods for a combustor adapted to utilize different fuel mixtures derived from gasification of a solid fuel. Combustion of the different fuel mixtures within the combustor can be facilitated by arranging elements of the combustor controlled so that a defined set of combustion characteristics remains substantially constant across a range of different fuel mixtures.
