BOOSTED GAS BURNER ASSEMBLY WITH OPERATING TIME AND FUEL TYPE COMPENSATION
A gas burner assembly and a method of operating the same are provided. The gas burner assembly includes fuel valve for providing a flow of fuel and an air pump for providing a flow of air into a boost fuel chamber prior to combustion. The method includes obtaining a predetermined cold start airflow schedule and modifying the cold start airflow schedule if the operating history of the gas burner assembly indicates that the temperature of the gas burner assembly is elevated, e.g., not cold. Specifically, the warmer the gas burner assembly, the more the airflow is increased relative to the cold start airflow schedule.
GAS COOKTOP FIRE PREVENTION AND ALARM SYSTEM
A home cooking appliance includes a gas surface cooking unit and a gas cooktop fire prevention system. The gas surface cooking unit includes a gas burner, a support surface configured to support a cooking vessel above the gas burner, a cooktop floor below the gas burner, and a gas supply line supplying gas to the gas burner. The gas cooktop fire prevention system includes a solenoid valve on the gas supply line and a gas supply cutoff unit configured to detect a temperature of the cooktop floor and close the solenoid valve when the detected temperature of the cooktop floor is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold temperature of the cooktop floor, thereby cutting off a supply of the gas through the gas supply line to the gas burner.
Stove
A stove for indoor use includes a housing having a bottom wall, a top wall and one or more side walls defining a combustion chamber adapted to retain a fire, and an air supply system for supplying air to the combustion chamber. The air supply system includes a primary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from below through the bottom wall and a secondary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from above. A valve is arranged in the primary air conduit or in a branching between the primary and secondary air conduits. The valve is controlled by a bimetal whereby the valve is in a maximum open position when the prevailing temperature is below a first predetermined temperature during start-up of a fire and in a maximum closed position when the prevailing temperature is above a second predetermined temperature after start-up of the fire.
SAFETY SYSTEM FOR GAS GRILL
A specialized miniature housing installable between a source of gas and gas burners provides an aftermarket safety system for a gas grill. The system prevents accidental accumulation of gas in an enclosed volume within or around an unignited grill, thereby reducing or eliminating the risk of explosion. The housing includes a microcontroller coupled to an internal flow sensor, an external temperature sensor, and a valve. In response to signals received from the sensors, the microcontroller commands the valve to remain open only when positive flow through the housing is coincident with sufficient temperature at the burners. Otherwise, or upon loss of power, the valve closes to cut off gas supply to the grill.
Heater device and method for operating a heater device
A heater device including at least one control and/or regulating unit, which is provided to set an air ratio of a combustion process to a setpoint air ratio. It is provided that the control and/or regulating unit is provided to ascertain a power correction factor in at least one operating state and take it into consideration in the setting of the air ratio.
Fuel supply system for a gas burner assembly
A fuel supply system for a gas burner assembly is provided. The gas burner assembly includes an inner burner stage positioned concentrically within an outer burner stage. The fuel supply system includes a fuel supply for providing a primary flow of fuel through a primary fuel conduit. A control valve and a modulating valve are operably coupled in series on the primary fuel conduit for regulating the primary flow of fuel. A first fuel supply conduit and a second fuel supply conduit tee off the primary fuel conduit to supply fuel to the outer burner stage and the inner burner stage, respectively. A shutoff valve is operably coupled to the first fuel supply conduit for stopping the flow of fuel through the first fuel supply conduit, e.g., during a simmer operation.
BOOSTED GAS BURNER ASSEMBLY WITH TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION AND LOW PRESSURE CUT-OFF
A gas burner assembly and a method of operating the same are provided. The gas burner assembly includes an air pump that supplies a flow of air into a boost fuel chamber for mixing with a flow of boost fuel before being combusted and directed through a plurality of boost flame ports. A temperature sensor is positioned proximate the air pump and a controller regulates the power supplied to the air pump to compensate for air pump operating characteristics based on the measured temperature. A pressure sensor may also detect a low pressure condition downstream of the air pump and shut down the fuel and air supply system accordingly.
COOKTOP APPLIANCE VAPORIZATION-RESPONSIVE CLOSED-LOOP-CONTROLS
A method of operating a cooktop appliance in a precision mode includes monitoring a temperature with a temperature sensor and starting a vaporization timer when the monitored temperature enters a vaporization band. The method also includes freezing the precision mode when the vaporization timer expires and the monitored temperature is within the vaporization band.
Metallic burner tiles
The present disclosure seeks to provide a metallic burner tile for use in industrial processes such as cracking. The tile is substantially metallic (e.g. more than 80%) with the balance being ceramic coating on surfaces exposed to high temperature. The tile is lighter and more durable than the current ceramic burners.
COOKTOP INCLUDING A SINGLE INPUT CONTROL OF MULTIPLE HEATING ELEMENTS
A cooktop appliance includes a first heating element; a second heating element adjacent to the first heating element; a first supply line in upstream fluid communication with the first heating element to direct fuel thereto; a second supply line in upstream fluid communication with the second heating element to direct fuel thereto, the second supply line being in fluid parallel with the first supply line; a first supply valve provided on the first supply line upstream from the first heating element; a second supply valve provided on the second supply line; a supplemental line providing fluid connection from the first supply valve to each of the first supply line and the second supply line; a supplemental line valve provided on the supplemental line; and a controller operably coupled with the supplemental line valve, the controller being configured to selectively open the supplemental line valve.
