Push to sear valve for a gas grill
A gas grill is disclosed having a gas control valve with a push to sear feature. The gas control valve has a housing with a valve core rotatably disposed within the housing. A sear valve is disposed within the valve core. A user rotates the valve core within the housing to selectively align a gas inlet port with an inlet passage and to align a sear gas port and a sear gas flow passage. The sear valve has a sear valve element which is selectively movable relative to the valve core to selectively pass a sear gas through a sear gas port and a sear flow passage to the forward end of the valve housing, and then to the grill. A bias member, preferably a coil spring, is mounted between the sear valve element and the valve core for urging the sear valve element to a closed position.
Gas valve with electronic valve proving system
Valve assemblies may be configured to perform a valve proving test as part of an operational cycle of a combustion appliance coupled to the valve assembly. The valve assembly may include a valve body having a fluid path, first and second valves situated in the fluid path, first and second valve actuators, and a pressure sensor in fluid communication with an intermediate volume of the fluid path between the first and second valves. A valve controller may monitor a measure related to a pressure in the intermediate volume. The valve controller may then output a signal if the measure related to the pressure in the intermediate volume meets and/or exceeds a threshold value, where the threshold value is determined based on a measure related to an initial pressure in the intermediate volume and a known test duration.
Valve with actuator diagnostics
A system for detection of degradation of a valve mechanism by measuring, for example, the time between powering an actuator and opening of the valve or the time between un-powering the actuator and closing of the valve. Time measurements may be compared with a predetermined threshold or previous measurements. An indication of a gradual degradation of the valve may be detected by an evaluation of a trend of measurements. Thus, a user may be notified of an impending failure before an actual failure of the valve. Diagnostic analysis may be of one or more items selected from a group consisting of combinations of time delays and distances of valve movement upon application and removal of power to the actuator, and one or more performance issues may be correlated for each of many combinations.
Dual fuel heating source with nozzle
A dual fuel heating source can have a burner and a nozzle. The heating source can be configured to use one of two different fuels flowing at different pressures. The nozzle can have a body, the body defining an outlet opening, an inlet, and an inner chamber. The nozzle can be configured for the first fuel in a first position of said nozzle, and can be configured for a second fuel in a second position.
Gas valve unit
A gas valve unit for controlling a gas throughput routed to a gas burner of a gas appliance includes a valve housing, an actuation shaft which is able to set an opening cross section of the gas valve unit, and a stop valve. A linearly-displaceable connection element transmits a movement of the actuation shaft to the stop valve. The connection element has a plastic bend forming an overpressure protection.
PRESSURE REGULATOR WITH OUTLET OVERPRESSURE SECURITY
A regulator for compressed gas, comprising a body with a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a gas passage fluidly interconnecting the gas inlet and gas outlet; a pressure reducer with, in the gas passage, a shut-off device and a movable assembly operatively connected to the shut-off device and delimiting with the body a regulating chamber downstream of the shut-off device; a pressure relief device in the gas passage downstream of the regulating chamber; and a flow restriction in the gas passage upstream of the shut-off device, dimensioned for reducing the gas pressure at the gas outlet under a maximum pressure value when the pressure relief device is opened and the shut-off device is opened.
A GAS VALVE WITH ROTATING DISC MEMBER
The invention relates to a gas valve unit, comprising a valve body surrounding an inner chamber in a sealing manner; an inlet part; at least one gas outlet in connection with the inner chamber to conduct gas via an outlet channel; a stationary disc member dividing the inner chamber; a rotating control disc member which is superimposed on a corresponding rear wall of the stationary disc member from an inner wall and mounted on a lower part which extends into the inner chamber of a control rod extending out from the body; also an elongated cavity formed in the inner wall of the control disc member and aligned to direct the gas flow to the through hole in an operational position.
A GAS VALVE WITH CERAMIC DISC ELEMENT
The invention relates to a gas valve unit, comprising a body having an inlet channel and an outlet channel in gas flow connection via an inner chamber surrounded by body a stationary disc element fixed in the inner chamber and having a through hole thereon that opens into the gas outlet channel ; a rotating disc element with an inner wall rotatably overlapping a front wall of the stationary disc element and a cavity that access to the outlet channelthrough the through holewhen rotated. The front wall and the inner wall of the stationary disc elementand the rotating disc element facing each other, respectively, are at least partially made of ceramic material.
MULTI-WAY VALVE
A multi-way valve includes an outer casing provided with an internal cavity, at least one input to the cavity, at least one output from the cavity, the at least one input having sealing means, and an actuator adapted to cause the opening of the sealing means of the inputs. A cross-section of the actuator is smaller than a cross-section of the inner cavity.
Gas Distribution System and Cooking Appliance Incorporating the Gas Distribution System
According to one embodiment a gas distribution assembly is provided that includes a gas distribution duct and at least one gas regulating valve mounted on the gas distribution duct. The valve is secured to the duct by use of a support supported on the duct and attachment means for attaching the valve to the support. According to one embodiment the attachment means comprises a screw threaded into a threaded sleeve and also into a threaded hole in the body of the valve. The support includes a through hole through which the sleeve passes and the sleeve includes a flange at one end that rests on the support in an area that surrounds the through hole. An end of the sleeve opposite the flange resides adjacent the threaded hole in the body of the valve.
