KILN CONTROL
A gas fired burner control system for a kiln for firing for instance ceramic items. The system including a plurality of operating modes, with the system being configured such that during a firing cycle the system can move between operating in different modes.
GAS COCK FOR GAS BURNER
A gas cock for a gas burner and pilot flame includes a cock body with a plug receiving seat and a gas passage opening for passage of gas from/to the plug receiving seat. The cock has a conical plug, including a side wall extending around a central conical plug axis and housed in the plug receiving seat. The conical plug includes a plug opening for passage of gas from/to the plug receiving seat by the inner cavity of the conical plug based on a presettable angle of rotation between the cock body and the conical plug. The conical plug outer wall surface includes a groove connected to the plug opening. The groove includes a modulating portion extending between first and second angular positions in a circumferential direction of rotation of the conical plug with a depth that increases or decreases in the radial direction perpendicular to the side wall.
Gas valve unit
A gas valve unit to be connected to a gas source includes a body having an inlet, a main chamber in the body communicating with the inlet and having a main outlet communicating with the outlet of the gas valve unit, a disc-shaped element in the main chamber with one or more openings putting the main chamber in communication with the main outlet hole and rotatable between a closing position, where the main outlet hole is entirely covered by the disc-shaped element, and at least two opening positions in which the one or more openings face, at least in part, the main outlet hole to enable gas passage from the main chamber to the main outlet hole via the through opening, and a control unit associated causing the snapping rotation of the disc-shaped element between the closing position and an opening position, and between the at least two opening positions.
METHOD TO OPERATE A MODULATING BURNER
The invention pertains to a method for operating a surface stabilized fully premixed gas premix burner. The burner is adapted to modulate between a minimum load and a full load, the ratio of the full load over the minimum load being at least 4. The method comprises the step of supplying a premix of combustible gas and air to the burner at an air to combustible gas ratio, the combustible gas supplied to the burner comprises at least 20% by volume of hydrogen, In the method, the air to combustible gas ratio of the premix which is supplied to the burner when the burner is operated at minimum load is set by a mechanism to be in relative terms at least 20% higher than the air to combustible gas ratio of the premix which is supplied to the burner when the burner is operated at full load.
REGULATING MECHANISM FOR REGULATING THE FLOWS FROM A PLURALITY OF GAS OUTLETS IN A FUEL GAS VALVE
The present invention discloses a regulating mechanism regulating the flows from a plurality of gas outlets in a fuel gas valve, comprising an actuator, a push rod, a presser plate assembly, regulating rods and a valve body. Wherein the valve body has a plurality of gas outlets, a regulating rod is provided in each regulating port which exists between the gas inlet and each gas outlet, a resetting device is provided between each regulating rod and the valve body, and the actuator drives the push rod which is around by the regulating ports to move along the axis. The push rod causes the presser plate assembly to move up and down to press or relax the regulating rods and simultaneously change the degree of opening between the head portion of each regulating rod and the corresponding regulating port so that the flow from each gas outlet changes synchronously.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A VARIABLE GAS VALVE
A gas valve assembly includes a gas valve and a control circuit. The gas valve is configured for variably controlling a flow of gas through the gas valve assembly. The control circuit includes a controller programmed to determine a first setting for the gas valve in response to a received commanded flow, adjust the first setting to a second setting based on a measured temperature when the measured temperature is one that may induce changes to the flow of gas through the gas valve assembly, and control the gas valve based on the second setting.
Control system for an intermittent pilot water heater
A water heater control system comprising an energy storage system electrically connected to a pilot valve operator and electrically isolated from a main valve operator. The energy storage system may be electrically connected to an ignition circuit. A thermoelectric device is in thermal communication with the pilot flame and electrically connected to a main valve operator. The water heater system may include a microcontroller configured to establish electrical communications between the device and the energy storage system, the pilot valve operator, and the main valve operator. The microcontroller may be configured to recognize a call for main burner operation, and may also be configured to check an available voltage of the energy storage system against a setpoint. The microcontroller may establish pilot flame operation with or without main burner operation, depending on whether a call for heat or recharging of the energy storage system is required.
Oven broiler gas burner for cooking appliance with variable electromechanical valve
A cooking appliance and method of operating the same utilize a variable electromechanical valve to regulate an output power level of an oven broiler gas burner for a cooking appliance. Among other benefits, in some instances broiler control during cooking may be decoupled from oven warm-up, and in some instances support may be provided for automatic and/or user controlled broiler output power levels and/or automated broil profiles.
GAS SUPPLY TAP WITH POSITION SENSOR
A gas supply tap having a control knob (2) connected to an operating stem adapted to operate a valve or a shutter for opening and closing the tap is disclosed. The gas supply tap includes a detecting device to detect the position of the knob, at least one component of the detecting device being translationally and rotationally integral with the operating stem.
Cooking appliance gas oven burner control during oven warm-up operation
A cooking appliance and method of operating the same utilize a multi-level valve system that regulates an output power level of a gas burner for an oven between a maximum output power level and at least one reduced output power level to selectively reduce the output power level of the gas burner during at least a portion of an oven warm-up operation, e.g., to improve burner operating characteristics during the oven warm-up operation.
