FLAME PRODUCING ASSEMBLIES
An assembly including a hood configured to shield a flame produced by the flame production assembly from wind and/or protect a user from the heat generated by the flame. Further, the assembly includes a thermoresponsive coating provided on the hood. The thermoresponsive coating is configured to undergo a reversible endothermic reaction or a reversible endothermic phase change when heated above about 35 C., more specifically above about 40 C., and in particular above about 50 C.
FLAME PRODUCING ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A SHAPE-SHIFTING LAYER
A flame producing assembly including a hood configured to shield a flame produced by the flame producing assembly from wind and/or protect a user from heat generated by the flame; and a shape-shifting layer provided on the hood. The shape-shifting layer is configured to shape-shift from a first shape to a second shape when heated above a first threshold temperature, wherein the first threshold temperature is at least about 40 C.

Windshield for hand-held flame generators or lighters and related methods
Generally disclosed are systems that reduce the susceptibility of hand-held lighters to extinguishment by ambient phenomena. Generally, the disclosed system is defined by wind-shield with a stack and a vented clip that may be releasably secured to the flame holder of a lighter. In one general mode of use, a cigarette or faggot is provided through the stack for operation with the flame.

Lighter case
A lighter case for holding a lighter is disclosed. The lighter case includes: a case body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the case body defining a first opening at the first end and a cavity for receiving and retaining the lighter therein, the cavity extending from the first opening toward the second end; and a wind guard slidably coupled to the case body, the wind guard being slidable axially relative to a length of the case body between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the wind guard comprises a partial cylindrical guard wall defining a central interior space and wherein the guard wall defines an access opening for accessing the central interior space.
