METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ATHLETIC MOTION ANALYSIS AND INSTRUCTION
A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.
Systems and methods for manipulating a virtual object
Various examples are directed to a haptic device for manipulating a virtual projectile. The haptic device may receive a trajectory of the virtual projectile. A position circuit may determine a first position of a body part of a user based at least in part on a motion signal received from a motion sensor. A comparator circuit may determine a first distance between the first position of the body part and the trajectory. A feedback circuit may excite a haptic actuator of the haptic device at a first level. The position circuit may also determine a second position of the body part. The comparator circuit may also determine a second distance between the second position of the body part and the trajectory. The second distance may be different than the first distance. The feedback circuit may excite the haptic actuator at a second level different than the first level.
Athletic Training System and Method
An athletic training system (200) has a data recording system (202) and a data engine (204). The data recording system (202) is configured to record an athletic competition event. The event may have a first team of players competing against a second team of players. The data engine (204) is configured to receive data associated with the recorded athletic competition event. The data engine (204) processes the data and displays the data as a replay of the event in animated form.
Virtual reality simulation of a live-action sequence
The present disclosure generally relates to virtual reality simulation, and more specifically, in some implementations, to devices, systems, and methods for use in a virtual reality sports simulation. A system for virtual reality simulation may include an accessory (e.g., one or more of a bat, a glove, or a helmet) for interacting with a virtual reality environment. The accessory may provide the user with haptic feedback that emulates sensations that the user would experience when playing a live-action sport to provide the user with a more meaningful and realistic experience when playing a virtual reality game. Further, virtual reality simulations disclosed herein may include incorporating data from a live-action event (e.g., a live-action sporting event) into a virtual reality environment to provide a user with a realistic experience.

Computer-readable non-transitory storage medium having information processing program stored therein, information processing system, information processing apparatus, and information processing method
In a virtual space of an own apparatus, the movement speed of a movement object is reduced on the basis of a reduction value according to a communication delay time with respect to an opponent apparatus. The reduction value is adjusted such that the movement speed of the movement object is reduced in accordance with the time having elapsed from start of movement of the movement object. The opponent character object is caused to perform an action on the movement object, on the basis of data received from the opponent apparatus.

DRAMA ENGINE FOR DRAMATIZING VIDEO GAMING
A method for dramatizing video gaming is disclosed. The method includes receiving over a network from a client device contextual data corresponding to game play of a player playing a gaming application. The method includes identifying an event of dramatic significance is occurring or likely will occur in the game play based on the contextual data and historical data of a plurality of game plays relating to the gaming application. The method includes generating information dramatizing the event of dramatic significance. The method includes surfacing the information in connection with the game play.

COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE FOR SIMULATION OF SPORTING EVENTS BASED ON REAL-WORLD DATA
Methods for improving simulation of a sporting event by using real-world data are provided. In one aspect, a method includes positioning a simulated player corresponding to a player on a simulated field based on player positional data. The method also includes positioning a simulated ball corresponding to a physical ball on the simulated field based on ball positional data. The method also includes modifying the simulation based on user input by deviating the simulated player from the player positional data of the player on the physical field of the sporting event based on the user input when the user input moves the simulated player outside of a visual ring. The method also includes deviating a second player from a corresponding second player positional data when the second player is within a deviation ring, a radius of the visual ring different from a radius of the deviation ring.
