A combustor nozzle using fuel containing hydrogen, a combustor and gas turbine including the same are provided. The nozzle for a combustor configured to burn fuel containing hydrogen includes a fuel supply duct including a plurality of injection tubes through which air and fuel flow and a fuel passage through which fuel flows, a plurality of swirlers formed on a side surface of each of the plurality of injection tubes to guide air outside the injection tube to be introduced thereinto for swirling, and a plurality of fuel inlet holes formed radially through the injection tube to communicate with the fuel passage and allow fuel to flow through the fuel passage to the injection tube.

A fuel injection system for a gas turbine engine includes a first plurality of fuel nozzles arrayed in a circular pattern. Each of the nozzles in the first plurality of fuel nozzles includes a first airflow area defined therethrough. A second plurality of fuel nozzles radially inward from the first plurality of fuel nozzles. Each of the nozzles in the second plurality of fuel nozzles includes a second airflow area defined therethrough. The first airflow area is larger than the second airflow area. A third plurality of fuel nozzles can be radially inward from the second plurality of fuel nozzles. Each of the nozzles in the third plurality of fuel nozzles can include a third airflow area defined therethrough. The second airflow area can be larger than the third airflow area.

COMBUSTOR FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE

A combustor for a gas turbine engine, the gas turbine engine defining a longitudinal centerline extending in a longitudinal direction, a radial direction extending orthogonally outward from the longitudinal centerline, and a circumferential direction extending concentrically around the longitudinal centerline, the combustor including: a forward liner segment; an aft liner segment disposed downstream from the forward liner segment relative to a direction of flow through the combustor, the forward and aft liner segments at least partially defining a combustion chamber; and a fence disposed between the forward and aft liner segments, wherein the fence extends in the circumferential direction, and wherein the fence extends into the combustion chamber along the radial direction.

Low-pollution combustor and combustion control method therefor

A low-pollution combustor and a combustion control method therefor. The low-pollution combustor includes a combustor head including a primary combustion stage and a precombustion stage, the primary combustion stage including a primary-combustion-stage channel and a primary-combustion-stage swirler disposed in the primary-combustion-stage channel. The primary combustion stage includes a pre-film plate disposed in the primary-combustion-stage channel, and the pre-film plate is radially divided into an outer-layer pre-film plate and an inner-layer pre-film plate. The positions and injection directions of fuel jet points of the primary combustion stage control fuel of the primary combustion stage to be injected into the primary-combustion-stage channel through primary-combustion-stage fuel jet orifices; and part of the fuel directly forms primary-combustion-stage direct-injection fuel spray, and the other part is hit on the pre-film plate close to an inner side of the primary-combustion-stage channel, or the two parts are respectively hit on the two layers of pre-film plates.

GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR DOME WITH INTEGRATED FLARE SWIRLER

A swirler assembly includes a swirler having a primary swirler and a secondary swirler, and a flare connected the secondary swirler, and a dome disposed radially outward of the flare. A flare oxidizer flow passage is defined by a flare outer surface and a dome inner surface, and the flare oxidizer flow passage includes a swirl inducing member therewithin that induces a swirled flow of an oxidizer passing through the flare oxidizer flow passage into a combustion chamber.

GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR DOME WITH INTEGRATED FLARE SWIRLER

A swirler assembly includes a swirler having a primary swirler and a secondary swirler, and a flare connected the secondary swirler, and a dome disposed radially outward of the flare. A flare oxidizer flow passage is defined by a flare outer surface and a dome inner surface, and the flare oxidizer flow passage includes a swirl inducing member therewithin that induces a swirled flow of an oxidizer passing through the flare oxidizer flow passage into a combustion chamber.

A turbofan gas turbine engine configured to reduce hotspots within combustors. The engine includes an axis and a combustor that is circumferentially disposed about the axis. The combustor includes an annular combustor liner that includes a front portion and a rear portion. The annular combustor liner is joined to an annular combustor dome via front portion and defines a chamber and a nozzle is mounted within the annular combustor dome and is configured to inject fuel into a plurality of swirlers. At least one or more dilution openings is circumferentially distributed around the liner such that a region is fluidly connected through the annular combustor liner to the chamber. Each one of the pluralities of dilution openings includes an opening and a radial support wall that is positioned aft of the opening such that the radial support wall extends into the chamber.

COMBUSTOR DILUTION WITH VORTEX GENERATING TURBULATORS

A combustor for a gas turbine engine. The combustor has a combustor liner that includes a vortex turbulence generator. The vortex turbulence generator has a flow passage extending therethrough, the flow passage being defined by a wall about a periphery of the flow passage, and a plurality of vortex generating turbulators disposed on the wall, each of the plurality of vortex generating turbulators a projection portion extending from a surface of the wall into the flow passage and generating a vortex turbulent flow of an oxidizer passing through the flow passage from a cold surface side of the combustor liner to a hot surface side of the combustor liner.
