Fuel nozzle device comprising a swirler having spiral swirl vanes
A fuel nozzle device for a gas turbine engine includes a nozzle body extending in an axial direction and projecting into the combustion chamber, and swirler including a tubular portion concentrically surrounding the nozzle body, a deflector formed as a hollow shell concentrically surrounding the tubular portion, and a plurality of swirl vanes extending between the tubular portion and the deflector. Each swirl vane extends along a logarithmic spiral around an axial center of the nozzle body between the tubular portion and the deflector with a certain meridian crossing angle α and a certain twist angle Φ such that the outer peripheral inclination angle θ is smaller than the stacking angle β of the swirl vane when the swirl vane is manufactured by an additive manufacturing process with a front end up orientation.
Gas-Only Cartridge for a Premix Fuel Nozzle
A gas-only cartridge for a fuel nozzle includes a flange that defines a plurality of apertures for receiving a gaseous fuel, an outer tube that is coupled to the flange and an inner tube that extends axially within the outer tube. The inner tube and the outer tube define a fuel passage therebetween and the fuel passage is in fluid communication with the plurality of apertures of the flange. A fuel distribution tip is disposed at a downstream end of the gas-only cartridge and defines a plurality of fuel ports circumferentially spaced along and annularly arranged about an outer surface of the fuel distribution tip. The fuel ports are in fluid communication with the fuel passage.
EVAPORATOR ARRANGEMENT
Disclosed is an evaporator arrangement (1) for evaporating liquid fuel for a mobile fuel-operated heating device, comprising: an evaporator unit (5) for distributing and evaporating liquid fuel; and at least one fuel supply line (6) for delivering liquid fuel to the evaporator unit (5). The evaporator unit (5) has at least one first section (B1) made of a metal wire mesh (8).
FUEL INJECTING DEVICE
A fuel injection device for a gas turbine combustor includes a pilot fuel injector disposed on an axis of the fuel injection device; an annular main fuel injector encircling the pilot fuel injector; and a plurality of main fuel injection holes formed in the main fuel injector and spaced circumferentially from each other for injecting fuel axially rearward. The main fuel injector includes an annular fuel passage forming portion, an inner ring portion on an inner peripheral side of the fuel passage fowling portion, and an outer ring portion on an outer peripheral side of the fuel passage forming portion. One of a space between the fuel passage forming portion and the inner ring portion and a space between the fuel passage forming portion and the outer ring portion forms a pilot fuel supply passage, and the other one forms a main fuel supply passage.

BURNER, COMBUSTOR, AND GAS TURBINE
A burner injects a mixture of fuel and air from a base end side far from a combustion chamber toward a distal end side close to the combustion chamber. The burner has a fuel passage having a turn-back part turning back and channeling the fuel between the base end side and the distal end side. The burner has a premixed gas passage formed to surround the fuel passage. The burner has a fuel introduction part introducing the fuel channeled through the fuel passage into the premixed gas passage from the base end side to the distal end side. The burner has an air supply part supplying the premixed gas passage with air on the base end side.
Gas turbine engine with integral combustion liner and turbine nozzle
A core engine article includes a combustor liner defining a combustion chamber therein and a turbine nozzle. The combustor liner includes a plurality of injector ports, and the plurality of injector ports have a shape that tapers to a corner on a forward side of the injector ports. The turbine nozzle includes a plurality of airfoils. The combustor liner and turbine nozzle are integral with one another. A method of making a core engine article is also disclosed.
