A portable, collapsible holder for a cooking container has a threaded collar that screws onto the neck of a chafing dish fuel container. Three panels are each rotatably connected to the collar with an offset hinge. The panels rotate between a first collapsed position in which the panels contact a top surface of the collar and a second position in which the panels are in a deployed position at an angle of about 105 to 155 degrees outward from the top surface. Rotation stops on the panel and collar limit the rotation.

The burner includes a fuel holder, an outer wall surrounding the fuel holder and defining a combustion chamber, and optionally, a second wall surrounding the outer wall. Air is inducted from an inlet which may be an ash pan pivotally coupled to the outer wall at the bottom to open the combustion chamber. Supplementary combustion air is conducted to just above the fuel holder by the outer wall. Additional supplementary combustion air is conducted to just above the fuel holder by the second wall. The burner may include a pivotally mounted cooking grate and a pivotally mounted solid cover for closing the combustion chamber, and supporting legs. Modules individually yet replaceably attachable to the burner include a closed or open cooker, a smoker, a space heater, and a pyrolyzer.

The stove can include a main portion including a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion can define a first opening and the second end portion define a second opening. In a stowed configuration, the first end portion of the main portion can be disposed in the cavity of the first cover and the second end portion of the main portion can be disposed in the cavity of the second cover. In a deployed configuration, the second cover can be arranged so that the cavity of the second cover is facing in a downward direction away from the main portion.

The inner pot bottom is securely connected to the inner pot body above the insulating pot bottom of the outer pot.

For improved operability a shelf grate is provided within the open space of the housing to support the fuel above a base panel to allow air to circulate under the burning fuel.

A portable and collapsible stove and lantern allowing clean combustion of biomass fuels found in the natural environment comprises a top member, a transparent member, a support member having an orifice and a plurality of windows, a chamber having a plurality of top and bottom openings and a mesh to support biomass fuels, and a main body having an insulation member, a reflecting member and a plurality of middle openings. When used, the transparent member is disposed within the support member that is disposed on top of the chamber which is then disposed within the main body, and the top member is disposed on top of the support member. Air drawn into the main body by the plurality of middle openings is further drawn into the chamber by the pluralities of top and bottom openings, mixed with fuels for combustion, producing flame into the support member through the orifice.
