METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROMOTING PLAYER CHARACTER IN SPORTS GAME USING DUALIZED SPACE
Disclosed are a method and system for promoting a player character in a sports game using a dualized space. A player character promotion method may include processing a progress of a sports game instance in which at least one player character controlled in response to a user's input participates through a first virtual space configured for the progress of a sports game, providing a user interface for promoting a promotion mode for a given player character between sports game instances, and performing a promotion scenario for a selected player character through a second virtual space different from the first virtual space for the progress of the sports game instance when the promotion mode for the selected player character is activated through the user interface.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING A FANTASY SPORTS LEAGUE
Methods and systems of managing a fantasy sports league, and more particularly, a fantasy sports league that can utilize initial and current team values associated with each real sports team for determining which teams are allowed on a participant's roster and for determining each participant's accumulated points total during a league season.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANIPULATION OF OUTCOMES FOR VIRTUAL SPORTING EVENTS
Provided are systems and processes for manipulating outcomes of virtual sporting events. An example method comprises identifying a set of valid event segments for a given time segment of a virtual sporting event. An outcome category is determined for each of the valid event segments, which indicates an outcome of a play corresponding to the valid event segment. Audience input is obtained over a network from a plurality of client devices associated with a plurality of audience members. The audience input indicates a desired outcome for the given time segment. A valid event segment is then selected as a virtual event segment for the given time segment based on at least the desired outcome. Selection of the virtual event segment may comprise biasing the set of valid event segments to obtain a predetermined proportion of valid event segments with outcome categories corresponding to the desired outcome.
METHOD OF CONDUCTING A FANTASY SPORTS GAME
Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for implementing a fantasy sports game that shares the same objective as an actual sporting contest and that is based on individual plays from actual games executed in the fantasy sports game according to selection criteria. Fantasy game play is based on the outcomes of individual plays, instead of aggregate stats and/or fantasy points, which allows for a fantasy game with realistic game flow. The method executes plays, without active participation from a fantasy player, based on selection criteria which compare the current fantasy contest situation to the situation of the actual sporting contest when the outcome was recorded and applies the outcome to the fantasy game from the actual play which is most similar in situation. The result is a fantasy game carried out through individual plays which can be viewed like an actual sporting event.
AUTOMATIC FANTASY SPORTS DATA ANALYSIS METHOD AND APPARATUS
Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content generating, searching, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatic fantasy sports data analysis, including analysis of data to equalize player attractiveness in contestant composition of a fantasy sports team.
Visually representing virtual fantasy sports contests
A fantasy sports visual simulation system providing an audiovisual experience that allows contest participants and spectators to view a videogame-like model of a virtual fantasy sports contest. These simulations can occur at any time between any two or more contest participants, like mini-contests within the context of a broader league. Once a league is formed and team rosters are created, numerical calculations are performed based on real-athlete statistics to determine a current state of performance for all virtual athletes in gameplay. This statistical analysis is the basis for assigning performance variables to each virtual athlete, which allows the system to calculate numerical point values based on the performance of each virtual athlete and team in this fantasy sports visual simulation system.
FANTASY GAME SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLAYER SELECTION AND SCORING
A first list of available players is provided to each individual user who then selects a first fantasy lineup, where selections by another individual user does not preclude other individual users from also selecting the same player. First fantasy lineups are received from each individual user, the fantasy lineups comprising one or more players selected from the first list of available players. Each individual user may provide a replacement lineup prior to the end of a game. A subsequent list of available players is provided to each user and does not include players from the first fantasy lineup. Subsequent fantasy lineups from each individual user are received comprising only players selected from the subsequent list of available players. None of the players of the first fantasy lineup for an individual user is included in any subsequent fantasy lineup of the individual user.
Player Adjustment Scoring System
Systems and methods of conducting a fantasy sport contest are disclosed. According to some embodiments, the fantasy sport contest is provided for participants to join. The fantasy sport contest includes one or more fantasy teams where each fantasy team includes a multiplicity of real-life players. A player adjustment value (PAV) is determined for each of the real-life players. Accumulated statistics of the real-life player during real-life games are converted into a baseline fantasy score according to a baseline scoring system. The baseline fantasy score is adjusted according to the real-life player's PAV to produce an adjusted fantasy score of the real-life player.
Systems and Methods for Making Real-Time, Fantasy Sports Coaching Adjustments to Live Games
A fantasy sports system includes a user device, a database, and a controller. The database includes a plurality of statistical adjustments, with each statistical adjustment modifying a score generated during a live contest. The score is generated during a live contest and is related to a team statistic. The controller is configured to provide a first statistical adjustments graphical user interface accessible through the user device through which a first user is presented with a first set of statistical adjustments of the plurality of statistical adjustments, and receive a selection of one of the first set of statistical adjustments from the first user. The controller then calculates a fantasy score using the data related to the live contest and the first selected statistical adjustment. The data includes an actual total score of the live contest, the score related to the team statistics, and the team statistics.
System and Method for Dynamically Valuating Players During a Fantasy Draft
A system and method for dynamically valuating players during a fantasy draft are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method comprises storing, in an electronic device, a list of players, each player associated with a base value, receiving one or more player sections, and determining one or more adjusted values for a respective one or more particular players based at least in part on the base values of the particular players and the player selections.
