Artificial fireplace

The artificial fireplace includes an enclosure delimited by a lower wall, an upper wall and a peripheral wall. The peripheral wall includes an opening, a bed of fake embers being disposed inside the enclosure on a base defined by the lower wall. The enclosure is also provided with a projector for an image, in particular animated flames, towards a display screen disposed in the enclosure in a line of sight extending through the opening. The display screen is defined by a transparent glass plate extending between the bed of fake embers and the projector, while forming, in relation to the incident ray emanating from the projector, an angle ranging between 50° and 56°. The projector is defined for broadcasting images, in particular animated flames, through a linear polarized light. The invention also relates to a fireplace unit or stove comprising an artificial fireplace.

A simulated electronic fireplace that is configured to be mounted in a wall wherein the present invention provides a graphical image of a fire and is further configured to produce and distribute heat. The present invention includes a housing having a display monitor on the front thereof. The display monitor is operably coupled to a controller wherein the controller is communicably coupled to a mobile computing device having a software application for operation of the simulated electronic fireplace installed thereon. The present invention includes facilitation through the software application an ability to select a desired image to be displayed on the display monitor and further provide monitoring of a data input stream. Data parameters of the data input stream are monitored for changes. Upon detecting a change in a data parameter the graphical image of the fire is temporarily altered and then returned to its original state.

Faux fireplace with variable flame speed

A faux fireplace having a video faux flame with a selectively controllable speed. A video file stored in memory includes a video loop of the faux flame, wherein a user can selectively control a playback speed of the video loop. This allows a user to control a presentation of the flame, and a flicker rate of the flame to establish an ambiance. A remote control, such as a smart mobile device running an app, can be used to establish the speed of the of the video faux flame and other parameters.

Faux fireplace with synchronized flame crackling

A faux fireplace having a controller generating an imitation log crackling sound synchronized to an ember flicker of a faux log. The faux fireplace includes a video display displaying a video flame having releasing embers based on a video loop stored as a video file in memory. The controller generates the imitation log crackling sound for the displayed releasing embers as well. The type of crackling sounds and the volume of the crackling sound are different for each of the faux logs to create an authentic visual and audio experience. The ember flickers are generated by lighting associated with each of the faux logs.

Additionally, the electrical insert (40) can include a heater (26), and a controller (28) including a processor that is configured to control operation of the electric fireplace (10). Further, each of the base panel (30), the back panel (32) and the at least one side panel (34) can be manufactured and installed independently of one another. The fireplace housing (12) can further include a front frame (236) that is manufactured and installed independently of each of the base panel (30), the back panel (32) and the at least one side panel (34). Still further, at least one of the back panel (32) and the at least one side panel (34) can be foldable.
