RADIATION HEATING DEVICE
A radiation heating device includes: a planar heat generation layer; a heat generation portion that is provided in the heat generation layer and that generates heat by energization; a plurality of heat radiation portions that are disposed in the heat generation layer and that radiate heat transferred from the heat generation portion; a low heat conduction portion that is provided around each of the heat radiation portions and that has a lower heat conductivity than the heat radiation portions; and a contact detection unit that detects contact of an object with the heat generation layer. The radiation heating device further includes an energization amount decrease unit that decreases an energization amount of the heat generation portion when the contact detection unit detects the contact of the object with the heat generation layer.

Another oven has an insulated cooking zone that closely envelopes a cooking path and an insulated oven zone that substantially envelopes the cooking zone.

A cooking apparatus is disclosed. The cooking apparatus according to one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: an inner wall for forming a cooking chamber; an outer wall for encompassing the inner wall; a microwave generating part for emitting a microwave at a passage, which is a space surrounded by the inner wall and the outer wall; and an absorbing layer absorbing the microwave to be propagated along the passage, so as to emit an infrared ray at the cooking chamber.

System and method for controlling a smart cooking appliance, including: at an oven comprising a cooking chamber, a food support platform, and a control unit; detecting a first event corresponding to a start of a cooking process for a food item, wherein a first heating surface of the cooking chamber is operating at a first preset output level; in response to detecting the first event, activating one or more actuators to move the food support platform to a first position; while the food support platform is at the first position and while the first heating surface is operating at the first preset output level, detecting that oven reconfiguration criteria are met; and in response to detecting that the oven reconfiguration criteria are met, activating the one or more actuators to move the food support platform from the first position to a second position that is distinct from the first position.

The multi heat source may include a fire pit and is configured to provide ambient heating with both convection heat transfer and radiation heat transfer. The multi-heat source apparatus comprises an infrared emitter for generating infrared radiation. The multi-heat source apparatus comprises a shielding member between a heat source for the convection heat transfer and another heat source for radiation heat transfer.

An oven appliance may include a cabinet, a plurality of chamber walls, a top heating element, and a cooking plate. The plurality of chamber walls may be mounted within the cabinet and define a cooking chamber. The plurality of chamber walls may include a back wall, a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a bottom wall. The top heating element may be mounted within the cabinet to heat the cooking chamber. The top heating element may define a horizontal heating profile within the cooking chamber. Radiant Heater
A body defines a void and an aperture and has a reflective surface, the void communicating with the aperture and the reflective surface presenting towards the aperture. A structure, adapted to produce infrared radiation, is positioned in the void such that infrared radiation produced by the structure is directed to the aperture. An optical filter is positioned to at least substantially occlude the aperture, the filter being adapted for through passage of the infrared radiation directed to the aperture and further being adapted to restrict the through passage of visible light.
COOKING APPLIANCE
Disclosed herein is a cooking appliance. A working coil provided at a lower portion of the cooking appliance. The working coil heats a tray disposed in a cooking compartment in an IH mode. A temperature measurement module, which measures a temperature of the tray in a contact mode, is provided in the center of the working coil. The temperature measurement module includes a module body that is elastically biased upward by a spring. The module body is inserted into the spring and supports upper and lower ends of the spring. When the module body is installed on the working coil, the lower end of the spring is supported by an installation base of the working coil. The module body and the installation base are fastened in a key-to-key groove structure.
