An information processing device of one aspect of the present technology generates a new recipe on the basis of chemical structure information representing chemical structures of food ingredients used for cooking, sensing information obtained by measuring flavors of food ingredients using a sensor, and flavor subjective information representing subjective evaluation of people with respect to flavors of food ingredients. The present technology can be applied to a computer prepared in a kitchen.

A knob includes a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly includes a first sensing element. The second assembly is sleeved at the first assembly and includes a second sensing element. The first sensing element is configured to, when the second assembly rotates around a rotation axis, be fixed relative to the rotation axis. The second sensing element is configured to, when the second assembly rotates around the rotation axis, move around the rotation axis.

A cooktop includes a knob assembly controls a heating part. The knob assembly includes: a knob body disposed at a front surface of a control panel and rotating around a rotation shaft extended in a front-rear direction, a light diffusing part disposed at a rear side of the knob body and diffusing light, and a light source part disposed at a rear side of the light diffusing part and including one or more light sources. A cooking device includes a microwave generator, a cooking chamber wall delimiting a cooking chamber, in which a through opening is provided, and a cooking chamber sieve associated with the through opening. At least one intermediate element is provided between the cooking chamber wall and the cooking chamber sieve, which serves to mount the cooking chamber sieve to the cooking chamber wall. The at least one intermediate element is configured such that the generation of electric arcs between the cooking chamber wall and the cooking chamber sieve is prevented.

An operating apparatus for a household appliance includes first and second structure-borne sound sensors and a processing facility. The structure-borne sound sensors are configured to be applied to the surface of a predetermined body in a manner spaced apart from one another. The processing facility is configured to determine, on the basis of sensor values from the structure-borne sound sensors, a location on the surface of the body at which a pulse was introduced into the body; to determine that the location is situated in a predetermined section of the surface; and to determine a function of the household appliance that is associated with the section. A method for controlling a household appliance is also provided.

A method of pairing foods, performed on a smart device includes combining data from at least two of: a food pairing database, which comprises data based on taste profiles of said foods, a food heating profile database, which comprises data based on a length of time said foods require in order to be cooked, and a taste correction at altitude database, which comprises data based on a taste of said food at a particular altitude, and comparing said data, and outputting an optimized pairing of foods, based on one or more of taste, heating time and taste at altitude.

Techniques for managing an intelligent oven are provided. In one example, an oven system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components. The oven system can also comprise a processor, operably coupled to the memory, and that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an oven management component that identifies a parameter of a completed bake based on a second parameter of a new bake and shares the parameter with an input device.

A cooktop includes a knob assembly controls a heating part. The knob assembly includes: a knob body disposed at a front surface of a control panel and rotating around a rotation shaft extended in a front-rear direction, a light diffusing part disposed at a rear side of the knob body and diffusing light, and a light source part disposed at a rear side of the light diffusing part and including one or more light sources. An add-on piece for fastening to a panel element includes a base body, a fastening element, and a guiding element and a mating guiding element which are configured to guide the fastening element with respect to the base body such that during assembling of the add-on piece on the panel element, the fastening element moves away from the base body and comes into engagement with the panel element for fastening the add-on piece to the panel element.
