Fitout articles and articles of equipment for kitchens or laboratories with a lighting element

A fitout article or article of equipment for a kitchen or laboratory is provided. The article has a lighting and separating element. The separating element in a region of the lighting element has light transmittance of at least 0.1% and less than 12%. The lighting element in the interior emits light that passes through the separating element and to the exterior. The separating element has a glass or glass-ceramic substrate having a CTE of −6 to 6 ppm/K and has a colour locus in the CIELAB colour space with the coordinates L* of 20 to 40, a* of −6 to 6 and b* of −6 to 6. D65 standard illuminant light, after passing through the separating element, is within a white region W1 determined in the chromaticity diagram CIExyY−2° by the following coordinates: TABLE-US-00001 White region W1 x y 0.27 0.21 0.22 0.25 0.32 0.37 0.45 0.45 0.47 0.34 0.36  0.29.

COOKING APPLIANCE USER CONTROL INTEGRATED WITH RATE OF MOVEMENT DETECTION

A cooking appliance assembly includes a cooking appliance having a heat source for heating at least one food item, a temperature sensing device, an imaging device for collecting data relating to the temperature sensing device, and a controller communicatively coupled with the cooking appliance assembly, the temperature sensing device, and the imaging device. The controller includes at least one processor for performing one or more operations, including but not limited to determining a type of the temperature sensing device based, at least in part, on the collected data relating to the temperature sensing device from the imaging device.

ADAPTIVE CLOSED LOOP CONTROL METHOD FOR A COOKING APPLIANCE
20220187859 · 2022-06-16 ·

A method of operating a cooking appliance includes obtaining a set fluid temperature for a fluid within a cooking utensil, monitoring an actual fluid temperature via a first temperature sensor of a probe, determining a predicted air temperature above the fluid, monitoring an actual air temperature above the fluid via a second temperature sensor of the probe, comparing the actual air temperature to the predicted air temperature, and implementing a responsive action based on the comparison between the actual air temperature and the predicted air temperature.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND SYSTEM HAVING A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE

In a method for operating a household appliance which includes a display device having a display element comprising an adjustable property and which includes a control apparatus for actuating the display device, an optical sensor of an external device detects an item of activation information from an object. A processing unit of the external device processes the detected activation information to generate an activation signal which is transmitted to the control apparatus for activating an adjustment of the property of the display element.

A football-themed cooking grill is an apparatus utilizing an openable oblong enclosure, with dimensions approximately scaled from those of a standard National Football League (NFL) football, to both support various foods and retain heat and smoke while cooking. The cooking surface provides an indented portion optimized for enhanced retention of an appropriately-sized pot or other cooking receptacle. Furthermore, the shapes of different components of the apparatus reminds the user and guests of the social theme of the day. The legs of the apparatus are shaped to suggest the end-zone uprights used for scoring on either end of a football field. Football-shaped imprints on the cooking surface allow the user to brand foods, especially steaks, burgers and other meats, with football shapes. While coal and wood grills offer different types and flavors of smoke with which to potentially flavor food, the apparatus may also offer the option for solar-powered electrical cooking.
