METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EXTRACTING HEAT FROM A FLUE GAS
A system is provided for extracting heat from a flue gas after it is expelled from a cooking appliance, such as a commercial deep fryer. A flue extension is provided between the flue of the cooking appliance and an exhaust hood positioned above the cooking appliance. Within the flue extension is disposed a heat exchanger assembly, which includes a coil that forms part of a closed fluid loop including a second heat exchanger that is disposed within a fluid medium that is to be heated, such as water. A mount supports the flue extension, and allows movement of the flue extension between an operating configuration and a stowed configuration. The flue extension is positioned closer to the flue of the cooking appliance when in the operating configuration compared to the stowed configuration. Mounting the flue extension is achieved without modifying the cooking appliance or the exhaust hood.
Vertical grilling assembly
A vertical grilling assembly for uniform grilling of food with reduced flareups includes a housing, which defines an interior space. A retaining unit, which is engaged to a food item is insertable through an opening, which is positioned in a front of the housing, so that the food item is positioned in the interior space substantially equally distant from opposed sides of the housing. A first door is hingedly engaged to the housing and is positioned to selectively close the opening. A pair of heaters is engaged singly to the opposed sides of the housing and positioned in the interior space. The heaters selectively heat the interior space to grill the food item. A controller is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the pair of heaters. The controller is positioned to control heat output from the pair of heaters.
GAS-BURNING APPLIANCE AND GAS FIREPLACE
A gas-burning appliance includes a combustor and a flow guide device engaged with the combustor. The combustor has a gas outlet. The flow guide device includes a separator and two stop plates. The separator has an opening. Each of the stop plates is located at the opening, and a top edge thereof is higher than a top surface of the separator. The combustor is located below the separator with the gas outlet corresponding to a space between the stop plates. The flow guide device has at least one first air inlet, which is located below the separator, and communicates with the space between the stop plates. A gas fireplace includes a firebox, a translucent shield, and the gas-burning appliance. A separator divides the firebox into an air chamber, which receives the combustor, and a combustion chamber. Whereby, the visibility of flame and the combustion efficiency could be improved.
Lightweight portable heating device
A lightweight portable heating device consisting of a container assembly and lid assembly that house a tub assembly for the purpose of heating liquids and food submerged in aforementioned liquids by means of a multi-fuel burner. Container assembly provides for several structures that improve ergonomics and handling of the lightweight portable heating device. For instance, container assembly includes an integrated handle that surrounds the container assembly proximate the top portion of the container assembly and is molded into the container assembly. Integrated handle allows for the ease of moving of the lightweight portable heating device by personnel. Proximate the bottom of container assembly are lifting handles that enable the lifting of the device above shoulder level while also functioning as a tie down point.
Cooking apparatus for detecting fire hazard, and method of controlling the cooking apparatus
A cooking apparatus comprises: a cooking chamber configured to accommodate objects to be cooked; a camera configured to photograph the inside of the cooking chamber; an output interface; a memory configured to store at least one instruction; and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the at least one instruction to: detect a fire hazard during cooking based on a captured image obtained by the camera; and based on the detection of the fire hazard, outputting a fire hazard notification through the output interface.
Wall Thimble Alignment Trim and Wall Thimble Assembly Having an Alignment Trim for a Chimney
A wall thimble alignment trim for a wall thimble, and a wall thimble having a wall thimble alignment trim is provided. The wall thimble alignment trim includes a body having an opening. The opening has a first profile portion and a second profile portion. The second profile portion has an opening area that is greater than an opening area of the first profile portion.
ASSEMBLY FOR VENTING A WOOD STOVE, WINDOW UNIT AS PART OF THE ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD OF USE
A cantilevered window unit is provided that can be attached to a wood stove. The window unit allows a flue member to pass through the unit and extend upwardly on the outside of the structure containing the window unit. A unique roof bracket is employed to secure a vertical section of the flue member to the structure. Extension brackets can be employed in combination with the roof bracket to provide further support above and/or below the roof bracket location depending on the length of the flue member above or below the roof line.
