Cooking apparatus
Cooking apparatus comprises an oven. The oven comprises a cooking chamber, a heated air source and two or more vents through which, in use, heated air can vent from the cooking chamber. The two or more vents comprise at least one lower vent and at least one upper vent. The at least one lower vent is provided at a lower height than the at least one upper vent. The at least one upper vent is controllable to regulate a flow of heated air therethrough.
APPLIANCE HANDLE WITH AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF OF INPUT INTERFACE ELEMENTS
A method for operating an appliance having a cabinet, a door connected to the cabinet and movable in an opening direction from a closed position to an open position, and a handle connected to the door. The handle has a first side facing against the opening direction and forming a grasping surface, a second side facing along the opening direction, and an interface region having one or more input interfaces on the second side of the handle. The appliance has one or more shutoff sensors configured to disable at least one of the one or more input interfaces on the interface region when an object is detected adjacent the grasping surface.
Cooking Light Handle
A combined handle and light source for a cooking appliance such as a grill which is provided with a rotation joint such that the handle can be placed in a stored position to allow for articulation of a lid which covers a cooking surface and such that the handle can be moved relative to the joint to put the handle in a use position to allow the light to illuminate the cooking surface when the lid is in an open position.
METHOD FOR DATA COMMUNICATION WITH A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE BY A MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE, MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A method for controlling a smart appliance via a mobile device is disclosed herein. The mobile device is in communication with the smart appliance. The method includes the steps of sensing a current value of an operational feature of the smart appliance, communicating the current value to the mobile device, determining whether the current value matches another value that is related to the one operational feature, generating instructions to the smart appliance to adjust its current value to match the another value if the current and another values do not match, and communicating these instructions to the smart appliance. The method can be executed by software.
METHOD FOR DATA COMMUNICATION WITH A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE BY A MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE, MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A cooking appliance is disclosed having a sensing element that is arranged and configured to detect a current value of an operational feature. A memory is present which includes a database of a table of data of other values related to the operational features. Via a processor, the cooking appliance can access the database and compare the current and other values. When the current and other values do not match, the processor can then generate instructions to a control unit to cause the cooking appliance to adjust its settings such that the current value matches the other value. The operational features may include operating temperature, temperature setting, mode of heat generation and other settings on the cooking appliance.
METHOD FOR DATA COMMUNICATION WITH A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE BY A MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE, MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A mobile device for communicating with a smart appliance is disclosed. The mobile device includes a sensing element for detecting a current value of an operational feature of the smart appliance. A memory including a database including a table of data of other values associated with operational features is included or accessible online. The mobile device includes a processor for accessing the database, comparing the relevant current and other values and, when they do not match, generate instructions to the smart appliance to adjust its settings so as to bring the current and other values into alignment. The mobile device is configured to communicate with the smart appliance in a first state wherein data flows from the smart appliance to the mobile device only; and in a second state wherein the data flows in both directions.
OVEN HANDLE FASTENER
An oven handle fastener, including a fastener body comprising a heat resistant material, and a spring clip, including an arcuate portion disposed at a first end to at least a portion of the fastener body to connect at least one item to an oven handle, such that the arcuate portion is spring biased to prevent the at least one item from falling off the oven handle, and a planar portion disposed on at least a portion of a second end of the arcuate portion to facilitate gripping thereof.
Rotating Support Handle Assembly for Bottom-hinged Door
A rotating support handle assembly for supporting a bottom-hinged door is disclosed. The rotating support handle assembly may comprise a handle member and a support member. The handle member may rotate from a first position to a second position, and the support member may be configured to contact a floor to provide support to the bottom-hinged door in the second position.
Oven appliance and door assembly
An oven appliance may include a cabinet and a door assembly. The cabinet may define a cooking chamber. The door assembly may be movably mounted to the cabinet to selectively restrict access to the cooking chamber. The door assembly may extend laterally between a first side and a second side. The door assembly may include a support frame and a front glass panel. The support frame may include a front bezel directed forward away from the cooking chamber. The front glass panel may be mounted to the support frame behind the front bezel, the front glass panel defining an exposed edge along the first side.
DOMESTIC APPLIANCE HAVING A PROXIMITY DETECTOR
A household appliance includes a treatment chamber closable by a door for treatment of items to be treated by a plurality of treatment processes, and a proximity detector designed to identify a presence of a person approaching the household appliance. The household appliance is designed to carry out an action in dependence on a state of a treatment process in progress, when identifying an approach of the person.
