The Accelerated Slow Roasting Apparatus is a device for slow-and-low cooking a whole previously butterflied-prepared animal carcass comprising a closed cooking chamber with a plurality of adjustable air vents arranged on the bottom edge of said cooking chamber and a plurality of adjustable opening vents on a vertical side of the lid of said cooking chamber, and a slide out cooking grate with adjustable rails to support the grate while out of the cooking apparatus, a plurality of removable cooking fuel trays, wherein said cooking grate is positioned between twenty-five and forty centimeters above said cooking fuel trays to enable a flame-flare-up free, time-accelerated, slow-and-low cooking of said animal carcass in half, or less than half, of the traditional sixteen to twenty-two hours cooking time.

A rack assembly for a cooking appliance includes a rack operable between a stowed position and a deployed position. At least one telescoping actuator is operable between a retracted position and an extended position. At least one connector has a first end coupled to a distal end of the telescoping actuator and a second end coupled to the rack. The rack is adjusted from the stowed position to the deployed position as the telescoping actuator adjusts from the retracted position to the extended position.

A shelving system for an appliance includes a cabinet liner that defines sidewalls and an interior. Opposing first and second sidewall adapters are coupled to the sidewalls of the cabinet liner. The first and second sidewall adapters each include a body that is operably coupled with each of the first and second sidewall adapters and that defines a plurality of vertically spaced ledges. A recess is defined partially within the body. A base plate is coupled to each of the vertically spaced ledges. The base plate is configured to attract a glide assembly. A shelf is coupled to the glide assembly such that the shelf is slidable fore and aft.

A spit secures to a housing of a cooking tool and includes a first rod configured to engage an actuator and a second rod configured to support an item being cooked. A gearbox is configured to secure to the first rod and to the second rod such that rotation of the first rod is transmitted to the second rod with a first axis of rotation of the first rod being substantially perpendicular to a second axis of rotation of the second rod. In some embodiments, a plate is secured to a distal end of the second rod. The first rod engages a motor mounted to the housing. The first and/or second rod may have a non-circular cross section.

A guide device for a cooking rack comprises a side grid and a pull-out guide with rails movable relative to one another, wherein a stationary rail can be fixed to a strut of the side grid via at least two holders, wherein at least the strut to which the at least two holders are fixed has a cross-section deviating from the circular shape, and at least one holder has a contact surface which lies flat against the strut. In this way, the pull-out guide can be firmly fixed to the strut.

Systems and methods for an oven include a housing, a heating chamber positioned within the housing, an external nesting rack coupled to the housing, the external nesting rack is stationary while coupled to the housing, and a movable cook surface, the movable cook surface movable between a position completely within the heating chamber and a position at least partially external to the heating chamber, such that when the movable cook surface is in the position at least partially external to the heating chamber, the movable cook surface is positioned at least partially recessed below a top surface of the external nesting rack.

A shelving system for an appliance may include a sidewall adapter coupled to a side of a cabinet liner. The sidewall adapter may include a body defining at least one ledge and a base plate coupled to the at least one ledge. The base plate may define at least one aperture configured to receive a tab on a glide assembly. At least two adjustable fasteners may be coupled to the cabinet liner and may be configured to mount the sidewall adapter to the cabinet liner. A shelf may be coupled to the glide assemblies such that the shelf is slideable within the cabinet liner.
