Cooking engagement system
A cooking engagement system for a cooktop appliance is provided herein. The cooking engagement system may include a camera assembly, an image monitor, a lighting assembly, and a controller. The camera assembly may be mounted above the cooktop appliance along a vertical direction and directed at a cooktop surface. The image monitor may be mounted above the cooktop appliance and directed away from the cooktop surface. The lighting assembly may be mounted to the casing above the cooktop appliance. The lighting assembly may include a light source directed at the cooktop source to emit a light thereto. The controller may be in operable communication with the camera assembly and the image monitor to initiate an interactive cooking operation.
LED Luminaire
The LED luminaire is constructed with an LED/driver printed circuit board mounted directly on a floor of the heat sink assembly. By mounting the LED/driver printed circuit board directly in and on the heat sink assembly, the heat imposed on the LED/driver printed circuit board during use in a canopy hood over a cooking surface is transferred directly to the heat sink assembly for dissipation.
Cooktop burner illumination
An illumination system for a cooking appliance is capable of illuminating generally downwardly onto the cooktop burners of the cooking appliance using multiple illumination schemes. One illumination scheme may be used to indicate which cooktop burner is controlled by a particular burner control that a user is interacting with prior to activation of the cooktop burner, e.g., to indicate to a user that a burner control that the user has touched or is otherwise proximate to controls a particular cooktop burner. Another illumination scheme may be used to indicate which cooktop burner is being adjusted when a user is adjusting a particular burner control, e.g., to indicate to a user that a burner control that the user is currently manipulating is changing the output of a particular cooktop burner.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE, AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A lighting device for a household appliance includes at least two light sources and a lens body which is configured at least partially to have at least two lens cones associated to the two light sources in one-to-one correspondence. Each of the lens cones has a light exit surface.
COOKING EXHAUST HOOD VENTILATION SYSTEM
A commercial cooking equipment exhaust hood system includes a hood structure including an inlet opening to an exhaust flow path through the hood. A filter unit is positioned along the exhaust flow path. An electrostatic precipitator unit is downstream of the filter unit. The electrostatic precipitator includes an ionizing section upstream of a collecting section. The ionizing section includes a plurality of ionizing flow paths having side profile patterns that vary in width between at least one wide section and at least one narrow section. The collecting section includes a plurality of collecting flow paths with side profile patterns of substantially uniform width and a repeating undulating side profile pattern. A UV light source may also be provided within the hood, with a controller operatively connected to control the UV light source via a dimmer to enable selective production various UV levels.
Domestic hoods
A domestic hood may include: a support frame with a power input; a motor fan unit located within the support frame; the support frame extends between a lower end portion and an upper end portion, and at the lower end portion, the hood has a suction port in fluid communication with the motor fan unit; filter means arranged between the suction port and the motor fan unit and configured to filter gases extracted by the motor fan unit through the suction port; lighting means including an enclosure that defines a seat containing a plate having a plurality of light-emitting diodes; fastener means for removably fixing the lighting means to the support frame; and/or electric connection means for electrically connecting the lighting means to the power input. The fastener means may include at least one magnetic element and at least one metal element.
Kitchen unit provided with a lighting system
A kitchen unit (200), for example an extraction hood, has a task lighting system (100) for illuminating an operative area (210) below the kitchen unit. The task lighting system includes: at least a plurality of fixed lighting elements (110) configured to generate, on the operative area, corresponding fixed elementary light spots (270) and macro light spots (280) by the union of the elementary light spots; and a control unit (115) configured to receive a spot position signal indicative of a desired position of a macro light spot and to selectively activate, based on the spot position signal, the lighting elements to generate a macro light spot with said desired position.
Range hood and method for controlling the range hood
A range hood and a method for controlling the range hood are provided. The apparatus includes a range hood which is capable of photographing a cooking process that is being performed on an upper plate of a cook top by using a camera disposed in the main body of the range hood, and a method for controlling the range hood are provided. In some of the example embodiments, a range hood is capable of photographing a cooking process that is being performed on an upper plate of a cook top that is positioned below a bottom surface of the main body.
