A universal shelf for mounting an evaporator coil into an indoor furnace cabinet includes a planar platform substantially the size of the cross section of the furnace cabinet and having attachment means along its edges, which, in one embodiment, mate with existing mounting hardware for different types of evaporator coils. At least one side edge of the platform includes a rectangular step extending at least a portion of the length of the platform, the shelf adapted to mate with a U-shaped rail attachable to the inside of the cabinet. A foldable tab on the front edge of the shelf opposite the rail attaches to the front of the cabinet while, in a preferred embodiment, a leg hingedly attached to the rear corner of the shelf opposite the rail rests upon the floor of the cabinet to hold the platform level with the rail.

A two stage evaporative cooling device has a central chamber, divided into an upper chamber and a lower chamber by a divider. one or more heat exchange units surrounding the central chamber; an upper fan arranged above the upper chamber and a lower fan arranged below the lower chamber; and a water circuit; wherein each heat exchange unit comprises an evaporative cooling element and an air to water pre-cooler, the pre-cooler being placed ahead of a lower portion of the cooling element and the water circuit is arranged to irrigate the cooling element and collect the irrigated water below the cooling element for delivery to the pre-cooler whereby pre-cooled air may be drawn inwardly through the pre-cooler and the lower part of the cooling element by the lower fan and ambient air may be drawn inwardly through the upper part of the cooling element by the upper fan.

The indoor unit has a housing having a chassis that can be mounted to a wall, and a front frame connected with the chassis, in which the front frame and the chassis can be joined to define a mounting cavity having a mounting mouth opened downwards, and a fan assembly positioned in the mounting cavity and exposed to an outside at the mounting mouth, in which the fan assembly can be removably connected with the front frame and the chassis.

The guiding assembly includes at least one actuator, wherein each of the at least one actuator is configured to move an associated slider from the at least one slider.

An evaporator rough-in box includes a flat panel having a first score mark by which the flat panel can be folded between a front wall and a top wall of the rough-in box, and a second score mark by which the flat panel can be folded between the front wall and a bottom wall of the rough-in box. The front wall has an opening through which an interior of the rough-in box can be accessed, the opening being covered by a removable cover plate. Left and right ends of the top and bottom walls include extension pieces bendably attached to central portions of the top and bottom walls to form mounting brackets. The central portions include score marks that delineate knock-out holes by which a lineset and a drain line can be installed to the rough-in box. A drain fitting is attached to the knock-out hole of the drain line.
