An air conditioner includes a casing, and a blower and a refrigerant circuit disposed in the casing. The blower is configured to blow air. The refrigerant circuit has a compressor, a condenser, a decompressor, and an evaporator and is configured to circulate refrigerant in order of the compressor, the condenser, the decompressor, and the evaporator. The condenser has a first heat transfer tube through which the refrigerant flows and which has a first outside diameter. The evaporator has a second heat transfer tube through which the refrigerant flows and which has a second outside diameter. The evaporator is disposed windward of the condenser. The first outside diameter of the first heat transfer tube of the condenser is smaller than the second outside diameter of the second heat transfer tube of the evaporator.

AIR CONDITIONING APPLIANCE AND MAKE-UP AIR ASSEMBLY

A single-package air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger, a compressor, and an intake conduit. The housing may define an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. The compressor may be in fluid communication with an outdoor heat exchanger and an indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The intake conduit may extend from the housing. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor heat exchanger assembly. The intake conduit may further define a primary inlet and a secondary inlet spaced apart from the primary inlet in fluid parallel thereto. The primary inlet and the secondary inlet may be defined upstream from the intake passage to separately permit air thereto.

A temperature control (“TC”) unit and associated method for providing simultaneous independent temperature control of conditioned air to first and second rooms. The TC unit includes a cabinet. The cabinet may be divided into first and second compartments, the first compartment being adapted to receive and exhaust air from and to, respectively, the first room, and the second compartment being adapted to receive and exhaust air from and to, respectively, the second room. Sound dampening insulation may be positioned between the first and second compartments. First and second evaporators may be positioned within the cabinet so that: air from the first room passes through the first evaporator before exhausting back to the first room; and air from the second room passes through the second evaporator before exhausting back to the second room. The TC unit may be or include a vertical terminal air conditioning (“VTAC”) unit.
