An environmental control unit, such as an. HVAC or heat pump unit, includes a housing which contains four main components: a blower which draws air into the housing via an air inlet and exhausts air from the housing via an air outlet; a first heat exchanger that exchanges heat through the air and is located between the air inlet and the blower; a second heat exchanger, which exchanges heat through water and is disposed in the second area of the housing; and a compressor. The environmental control unit having a predetermined set of parts can be arranged in multiple configurations to meet installation requirements, where configurations include air entering from the left side or, alternatively, from the right of the environmental control unit. The configurations utilize the same parts and provide front-facing access to fluid connections and the control board.

LOW-HUMIDITY AIR SUPPLY DEVICE
20210381703 · 2021-12-09 ·

A low-humidity air supply device which supplies low-humidity air into a dry room includes an intake portion that is connected to an inside of the dry room and through which air in the dry room is taken in, a cooling unit that cools the air taken in through the intake portion, a dehumidification unit that dehumidifies the air cooled by the cooling unit, and a supply unit that is connected to the inside of the dry room and through which the air dehumidified by the dehumidification unit is supplied into the dry room, in which at least one of the intake portion, the cooling unit, the dehumidification unit, and the supply unit is composed of a duct having a box shape through which the air is able to pass, and the duct is a portion of a casing that constitutes an outermost layer of the low-humidity air supply device.

Air conditioning appliance and make-up air assembly

An air conditioning appliance or a make-up air (MUA) assembly may include an intake conduit and a secondary air duct. The intake conduit may be attachable to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor inlet. The intake conduit may further define a secondary inlet upstream from the intake passage to permit air thereto. The secondary air duct may extend from the intake conduit outside of the housing upstream from the secondary inlet to direct air thereto.

Floor-standing air conditioner

An air duct switching component having an air outlet cover defining an air inlet, a first air outlet and a second air outlet, and being arranged such that the air inlet communicates with a fan air outlet; and an air switching plate disposed on the air outlet cover, configured to move between a first position to close the first air outlet and to open the second air outlet and a second position to open the first air outlet and to close the second air outlet, and wherein in the first position, the fan air outlet communicates with a body air outlet via the air inlet and the second air outlet, and wherein the first air outlet is disposed relative to a humidifier such that in the second position, the fan air outlet communicates with the body air outlet via the air inlet, the first air outlet and the humidifier.

AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND CONTAINER

An air-conditioning, system includes a cabinet with a partition dividing an internal space of the cabinet into an indoor compartment and an outdoor compartment. An evaporator, a compressor and an internal fan are disposed in the indoor compartment. A condenser and an external fan are disposed in the outdoor compartment. The cabinet is provided with an internal air inlet corresponding to the internal fan, an internal air outlet corresponding to the evaporator, an external air inlet corresponding to the external fan, and an external air outlet corresponding to the condenser. The air-conditioning system is of a cabinet structure as a whole, has a small size and occupies a small space. An air flow of the internal fan is completely separated from an air flow of the external fan, so that internal circulating air and external circulating air are effectively prevented from being mixed, and the refrigerating effect is improved.

PACKAGED TERMINAL AIR CONDITIONER (PTAC) WITH AN INTEGRATED ENERGY RECOVERY VENTILATOR (ERV) OR HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATOR (HRV)
20230250973 · 2023-08-10 ·

The present invention relates to a novel packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system with an integrated energy recovery ventilator (ERV) unit or a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) unit. The integration of the ERV/HRV unit within the PTAC ensures lowering the work load of the compressor that would otherwise consume lot of power to cool/heat the room or any living space.

Condensate collecting base member for a heating and cooling unit

A base member includes a substantially horizontal main body that supports one or more components of a heating and cooling unit. The main body includes a conditioned space portion about a first side of the main body and a non-conditional space portion about a second side of the main body. A substantially vertical separation wall extends up from the main body and separates the conditioned space portion from the non-conditioned space portion. A lip is formed at least partially about the non-conditioned space portion. At least one drainage hole extends through the non-conditioned space portion. A surface of the non-conditioned space portion is sloped towards the at least one drainage hole. A drain pan is disposed about the conditioned space portion. At least one drainage tube is in fluid communication with the drain pan. A surface of the drain pan is sloped towards the at least one drainage tube.

HVAC system with modular architecture

HVAC system includes a front side access panel, an HVAC unit, a mounting sleeve, and a back side grille. The mounting sleeve and the HVAC unit are configured to fit within the preexisting framing of a building, and in particular to be mounted in a wall, between pre-existing studs, of a room. The HVAC unit can be installed into the mounting sleeve via quick connect mechanisms including, but not limited to, snap in connections and/or tab and slot features. The mounting sleeve enables rapid installation and also condensate collection. The HVAC unit includes separate modular units, e.g. an evaporator module unit, a mechanical module unit, and a condenser module unit, that are mounted and interconnected to each other. The HVAC system includes vertically oriented HVAC components and component connections that are self-aligned, and can be further configured with a horizontal configuration portion for multi-zone capability.
