OUTDOOR UNIT

An outdoor unit is configured to accommodate a compressor and is connected to a refrigerant pipe used for circulating refrigerant between an indoor unit. The outdoor unit includes a bottom panel under the compressor to support the compressor, a first side panel on a peripheral edge of the bottom panel, a second side panel at a position facing the first side panel on the peripheral edge of the bottom panel, and an outdoor heat exchanger above the bottom panel and extending in a direction from the first side panel toward the second side panel, wherein the outdoor heat exchanger has an end portion facing one of side end portions of the second side panel, and the bottom panel includes a projection formed at a position corresponding to the end portion of the outdoor heat exchanger and protruding in a direction from the first side panel toward the second side panel.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of flat tubes and a coupling header. The flat tubes are disposed in multiple tiers along a predetermined tube tier direction and in multiple rows so as to be adjacent to each other in a tube row direction intersecting the tube tier direction and the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes. The coupling header is formed by joining a first member to a plurality of second members in the tube tier direction. The first member has a plurality of through holes through which pass the first end portions of the flat tubes. The second members when joined to the first member forming a plurality of coupling passages where the first end portions of the flat tubes adjacent to each other in the tube row direction communicate with each other.

An apparatus is disclosed that is designed to be able to clean HVAC condensers. The apparatus comprises a plurality of pipes that facilitates the passage of water through them allowing water and/or a cleaning solution to clean the condenser by spraying the condenser with sprayers without having to move the apparatus. The apparatus is designed so as to be able to spray every part of the condenser without having to move the apparatus. The apparatus may also have a timer associated with it that allows the condenser to be cleaned at periodic intervals.

HEADER OF HEAT EXCHANGER

A cylindrical header of a heat exchanger includes a central member, front-side and rear-side members extending longitudinally on front and rear sides of the central member to form front-side and rear-side spaces along with the central member. The central member has a first flange covering a front-side-member-first-end part and a rear-side-member-first-end part from outside when viewed in cross-section, and a second flange covering a front-side-member-second-end part and a rear-side-member-second-end part from outside when viewed in cross-section. The front-side member is joined to the central member with the front-side-member-first-end part facing an inner surface of the first flange, and the front-side-member-second-end part facing an inner surface of the second flange. The rear-side is joined to the central member with the rear-side-member-first-end part facing an inner surface of the first flange, and the rear-side-member-second-end part facing an inner surface of the second flange.

OUTDOOR UNIT, AIR CONDITIONER, AND OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER
20220235957 · 2022-07-28 ·

An outdoor unit includes a heat exchanger, a fan having a motor having coils to blow air to the heat exchanger, a connection switching unit to switch a connection state of the coils between a first connection state and a second connection state in which a line voltage is lower than a line voltage in the first connection state, and a temperature sensor to detect a temperature. When the motor is not driven, the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the second connection state. When the motor rotates, the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the first connection state if a detected temperature by the temperature sensor is higher than or equal to a threshold, and the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the second connection state if the detected temperature is lower than the threshold.
