STATOR FOR ELECTRIC MOTOR, ELECTRIC MOTOR, AND AIR CONDITIONER
A stator for an electric motor includes: an annular lead wiring part attached to one axial end of the stator and routing a power lead to a winding of the stator; and a lead-out part provided on the radially outer side of the annular lead wiring part and leading out the power lead to the radial outside of the lead wiring part. The lead wiring part is formed such that the curvature of the inner diameter is different near the lead-out part compared with the remaining portion, and the radius of the inner diameter of the lead wiring part is largest at a portion other than near the lead-out part.
OUTDOOR UNIT
According to one embodiment, an outdoor unit equipped with a communication unit and a controller. The communication unit communicates data in a noncontact manner to an information terminal close to the outdoor unit. The controller permits the setting of data that has been input from the information terminal via the communication unit only during a fixed period of time after the outdoor unit has been turned on.

HVAC Unit Identification Device and Method
A device for pulsing the control lines of an HVAC system in order for a user to discover which outside unit is associated with a particular inside unit. Lead wires from the device connect to the control contacts on the thermostat of an HVAC unit. The device is an electrical or electromechanical circuit that can use the power contained within the thermostat or can be battery powered. Once the device is connected, it pulses the control line for the reversing valve, in the case of a heat pump system, or pulses the control line for the compressor, for a cooling-only system. This pulsing creates a loud clicking sound in either case that allows the repair technician to decipher the correct outside unit corresponding to the inside unit without use of a helper.

OUTDOOR UNIT OF AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
An outdoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a compressor, a heat exchanger, and a controller. The controller includes a compressor driving circuit configured to drive the compressor, a harmonic suppressing unit configured to suppress harmonics in the compressor driving circuit, and a housing containing the compressor driving circuit and the harmonic suppressing unit. The housing has a first section having ventilation holes that allow communication between the outside and the inside, and a second section constituting a frame outside the first section. The first section contains the harmonic suppressing unit and a fan configured to blow air from inside the first section to the outside through the ventilation holes. The second section contains the compressor driving circuit.
Outdoor unit and air-conditioning apparatus
An outdoor unit includes a casing having a bottom plate and is configured such that at least a part thereof is made of metal, a compressor provided within the casing to compress a flammable refrigerant, an outdoor heat exchanger provided within the casing to exchange heat between the refrigerant and outside air, and an electric heater provided on an upper surface of the bottom plate. The power consumption of the electric heater is 250 W or less.

OUTDOOR UNIT, AIR CONDITIONER, AND OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER
An outdoor unit includes a heat exchanger, a fan having a motor having coils to blow air to the heat exchanger, a connection switching unit to switch a connection state of the coils between a first connection state and a second connection state in which a line voltage is lower than a line voltage in the first connection state, and a temperature sensor to detect a temperature. When the motor is not driven, the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the second connection state. When the motor rotates, the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the first connection state if a detected temperature by the temperature sensor is higher than or equal to a threshold, and the connection switching unit sets the connection state of the coils to the second connection state if the detected temperature is lower than the threshold.
Motor driving apparatus and refrigeration cycle equipment
In a motor driving apparatus including a DC power supply circuit of variable output voltage value, an inverter of variable frequency, and a connection switching device for selecting connection, switching of the connection switching device is performed in a state where an output voltage of the DC power supply circuit is increased, a rotational speed of a motor is increased, and a current flowing through the motor is made not greater than a predetermined threshold. For example, the switching of the connection switching device is performed in a state where the current through the motor is made zero. For example, the switching is performed in a state where the output voltage of the DC power supply circuit is set at a value corresponding to the rotational speed of the motor during the switching. It is possible to prevent increase in apparatus size and switch the connection of windings while the motor is rotating.
