Evaporative cooling device and control system
10422540 · 2019-09-24 ·

An evaporative cooling device may be provided. The device may comprise a plurality of rollers, a screen looped around the plurality of rollers, a motor coupled to at least one roller and configured to drive the at least one roller, a basin configured to hold a liquid within an interior of the basin, and wherein at least one roller is at least partially within the interior of the basin. The screen may travel into the basin and capture an amount of the liquid. As the liquid is drawn into an airstream feeding a heat rejection device, the liquid may evaporate, cooling the air. The cooled air may provide a more efficient heat rejection device.

The present invention relates to a portable water dispenser for dispensing cooling water to an overheated compressor of an ACU. The water dispenser includes a splash guard and a core that is installed inside the splash guard. The core includes a magnet that firmly but temporarily attaches the water dispenser to the outer surface with the compressor. Water flow is controlled to convert the flow exiting a water hose into a uniformly distributed curtain covering the entire outer surface of the compressor. The splash guard prevents water loss because it redirects any splashes towards the compressor.

Using a Foam Panel in Water-Based Cooling

A foam panel has a front face and a rear face. The foam panel is used in water-based cooling of air entering an air conditioner compressor. A plurality of channels is manufactured in a predetermined pattern into the foam panel from the front face to the rear face.

An apparatus includes a mister having an on state and an off state. A thermostat is coupled to an air conditioner compressor and to the mister. The thermostat informs the mister when the air conditioner compressor is running and the mister uses that information to determine whether to transition between the on state and the off state.

AIR CONDITIONING ECONOMIZER

An air conditioning economizer includes a compressor, a condenser, a metering device, an evaporator generating condensed water during operation, a refrigerant pipe and a textile member. The refrigerant pipe is a loop pipe interconnecting the compressor, the condenser, the metering device and the evaporator, and includes a supercooling section interconnecting the condenser and the metering device. The textile member is capable of transferring moisture, is quick drying, covers the supercooling section and the metering device, and is adapted for absorbing the condensed water.

Photovoltaic panel system assembly method

A cooling system for a photovoltaic panel including micro flat heat pipes (HP) integrated with thermoelectric generators (TEG) and a cooled water reservoir for cooling the working fluid in heat pipes. The cooled water in the reservoir is pumped from the condensate pan of an air conditioner. Experimental results show that cooling system reduced the average temperature of the panel by as much as 19? C. or 25%. Further, the output power of the photovoltaic panel increased by 44% when the photovoltaic panel was used in a very hot climate (30-40? C.). An additional two watts of power was generated by the TEGs.

SPRAYING DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME FOR IMPROVING THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF AIR CONDITIONER

A spraying device, for spraying water onto an outdoor device of an air conditioner, including a water tank to store water, a first water level sensor to detect the water at a first water level, a second water level sensor to detect the water at a second water level, a nozzle to spray the water onto the outdoor device, and at least one processor configured to perform control to: with the stored water not being sprayed: start spraying the water onto the outdoor device, based on the water being detected at the first water level by the first water level sensor and the water being detected at the second water level by the second water level sensor, and with the stored water being sprayed: stop spraying the water onto the outdoor device, based on the water not being detected at the second water level by the second water level sensor.
