AIR HANDLING SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED TREATMENT
Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and systems of circulating air in an enclosed environment. In such embodiments, the system may comprise an air handling unit (AHU), the AHU including an indoor air inlet to receive an indoor airflow from the enclosed environment and an indoor air outlet to expel the indoor airflow, a conditioning element arranged between the inlet and the outlet configured to at least heat or cool the indoor airflow as it flows thereover, one or more fan units arranged between the inlet and the outlet configured to provide velocity to the indoor airflow, and an air treatment assembly (ATA) arranged within or proximate the AHU, the ATA including an air inlet configured to receive a portion of the indoor airflow received by the AHU indoor air inlet.
Fan array control system
A fan array fan section in an air-handling system includes a plurality of fan units arranged in a fan array and positioned within an air-handling compartment. One preferred embodiment may include an array controller programmed to operate the plurality of fan units at peak efficiency by computing the power consumed in various configurations and selecting the configuration requiring minimum power to operate.
Zonal demand control ventilation for a building
A method for operating an air handling unit of an HVAC system. The method includes opening an outside air flow control device to enable breathing air flow during a high outdoor air time period to a first zone having a first number of occupants and a second zone having a second number of occupants that is less than the first number of occupants. The outside air flow control device is then closed to enable conditioning air flow during a low outdoor air time period to the first and second zones. Further, a variable air volume (VAV) air flow control device provides desired amounts of breathing air to the first and second zones suitable for the first and second number of occupants, respectively. A VAV air temperature control device then provides conditioning air to the first and second zones having a suitable temperature for the first and second number of occupants.
Air handling unit and method for controlling a flow of air therethrough
An air handling unit includes a manifold having an inlet configured to receive a supply of air, a plurality of apertures formed in the manifold, the apertures enabling a passage of air from the manifold out of said the handling unit, a bypass plenum formed in the manifold, and a damper positioned within the bypass plenum. The damper is pivotable between a closed position and an open position to allow air from the manifold to exit the air handling unit without passing through the apertures when a pressure within the manifold exceeds a threshold pressure.
COMPACT AIR HANDLER WITH MULTIPLE FANS
A HVAC system for conditioning an interior zone includes an air handler configured to operate at least one of a plurality air distribution modules affixed to the air handler.
Air Handling Unit With Inner Wall Space
An air handling unit has an interior shell, an exterior skin associated with the interior shell to form a wall space at least partially bound by each of the interior shell and the exterior skin, and a control component at least partially carried within the wall space. A cabinet for an air handling unit has at least one wall comprising an interior shell and an exterior skin associated with the interior shell to form a wall space at least partially bound by each of the interior shell and the exterior skin. The at least one wall at least partially defines a fluid duct of the cabinet and a control component is at least partially disposed within the wall space.
Compact air handler with multiple fans
An air handler configured with a plurality of air distribution modules, each including a fan, and at least one damper disposed within to provide and direct conditioned air or fresh air to respective multiple zones of a building.
MULTI-ZONE VARIABLE REFRIGERANT FLOW HEATING/COOLING UNIT
A method for air conditioning including installing an air conditioning unit at a desired location. The air conditioning unit includes a housing that has air supply inlets and exhaust air outlets. The housing encloses a mode control unit that switches a zone coil associated with a zone from a cooling mode to a heating mode by switching from a cooling medium to a heating medium flowing through the zone coil. The zone coil receives the heating or cooling medium and conditions incoming air from a supply fan to be exhausted in a zone associated with the zone coil. A variable refrigerant flow cooling/heating unit provides a cooling medium or a heating medium at varying rates to control a temperature of a zone.
SINGLE ZONE VARIABLE AIR VOLUME CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to a climate management system having a control system configured to control climate characteristics of a building. The control system further includes a memory device and a processor. The memory device includes instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive, via a sensor, data indicative of an evaporator coil temperature of the climate management system, and operate an air mover of the climate management system to control supply of conditioned air to the building based on the evaporator coil temperature.
Multi-zone variable refrigerant flow heating/cooling unit
An air conditioning that includes a housing.
