Air conditioning system

A plurality of independent air conditioners, a first air conditioner (AC) (9a), a second AC (9b), and a third AC (9c), are disposed in an air conditioning room. Individual target temperatures of each habitable room that are acquired from an input/output terminal (19) and an outdoor temperature that is acquired by an outdoor temperature sensor (7) are input to a mode setter (32). Based on the individual target temperatures and the outdoor temperature, the mode setter (32) sets a cooling mode and a cooling setpoint temperature for operation in the cooling mode, or a heating mode and a heating setpoint temperature for operation in the heating mode, for each of the first AC (9a), the second AC (9b), and the third AC (9c).

Opening and closing device, air duct assembly and air conditioner

An opening and closing device includes a door cover including a vent and an opening and closing member configured to be inserted into the door cover through an opening of the vent along an extension direction of the vent. The opening and closing member includes an air door and is movable between an open position at which the air door does not close the vent and a closed position at which the air door closes the vent.

A ventilation system that reduces indoor radon concentration includes indoor radon measuring devices installed in indoor spaces inside a building. A blowing device on an outer wall of the building or in a specific outdoor place includes an exhaust fan for exhausting air and an air supply fan for supplying outdoor air. An exhaust fan driving device drives the exhaust fan in the blowing device. An air supply fan driving device drives the air supply fan in the air blowing device. An air distribution device has upper and lower chambers and includes exhaust passages connected to one end of the exhaust fan to accommodate exhaust dampers that individually exhaust the air to the lower chamber. Air supply passages connected to one end of the air supply fan accommodate air supply dampers to supply the outdoor air and individually distribute the outdoor air to each of the specific indoor spaces.

Heat Pump-Based Water Harvesting Systems

Water harvesting systems and methods of making and using such water harvesting systems, for capturing water from surrounding air using configurations that reduce overall energy costs and improves water harvesting cycle efficiency in the water harvesting system. In particular embodiments, the water harvesting system can be configured for dehumidification-humidification of air, and a method in the water harvesting system for dehumidification-humidification to control moisture level in the air conditioned by the water harvesting system. The systems and methods use sorbent materials, such as metal-organic frameworks, to adsorb water from the air. The systems and methods desorb this water in the form of water vapor, and the water vapor can be condensed into liquid water and collected to dehumidify air conditioned by the water harvesting system. The collected liquid water can be sprayed to humidify air conditioned by the water harvesting system.

Demand control ventilation with predictive humidity control

Systems, apparatus and methods for operating an environmental control system that delivers dehumidified outdoor air into a conditioned space through an air valve. The method includes establishing CO.sub.2 setpoints corresponding to a ventilation outdoor air flow rate and a dehumidification outdoor air flow rate, determining a humidity metric of the conditioned space, and delivering outside air to the conditioned space at the ventilation outdoor air flow rate or dehumidification outdoor air flow rate based upon the humidity metric. The outside air may be tempered with return air from the conditioned space. The dehumidification CO.sub.2 set point is determined by predicting the dehumidification CO.sub.2 set point based on the airflow quantity per occupant and the relationship of the occupant predicted water vapor emission rate and CO.sub.2 emission rate.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MEDIUM-SIZED COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS
20220325913 · 2022-10-13 · ·

An HVAC control system having a cloud-based optimization engine in communication with a local building hub that interfaces with the building HVAC system and room units. The cloud-based optimization engine implements an optimal and predictive control strategy to integrate occupancy prediction, weather forecasting, and modeling of indoor infection risk, indoor air quality, and building energy consumptions. The control strategy includes a model-based predictive control and a model-free reinforcement learning approach. The control strategy considers outdoor weather (both thermal and air quality) conditions, indoor occupancy and requirements for IAQ and infectious risk reduction to decide whether outdoor air should be introduced and how much fresh air will be introduced into the space. Communications with the building hub allow the local HVAC unit to be driven according to the optimization plan. Individual room sensing units can provide local sensor data to the cloud-based optimization engine.
