Timing for power-stealing circuits in smart-home devices
A smart-home device may include an energy-storage element that stores energy harvested from an environmental system; a power wire connector and a return wire connector; and switching elements configured to operate in a first state where the switching elements create a connection between the power and the return; and a second state where the switching elements interrupt the connection between the power and return. The smart-home device may also include a circuit that controls the switching elements, where the circuit is configured to detect a zero-crossing of a current received through the power wire connector; wait for a first time interval after the zero-crossing is detected; after an expiration of the first time interval, enable active power stealing for a second time interval; and after an expiration of the second time interval, disable active power stealing.

AIR CONDITIONER
An air conditioner includes a detection unit configured to detect a load in a room, a notification unit configured to notify a user of information, and a control unit, in which the control unit causes the notification unit to notify the user that ventilation is necessary when a load condition indicating that a variation of the load detected by the detection unit is within a predetermined range in a first time period is satisfied.
DYNAMIC CLIMATE CONTROL ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A device detects that a first wearable device has connected to a network. The device receives user preferences from the first wearable device. The device identifies a set point corresponding to a climate parameter. The device receives climate information corresponding to the climate parameter from one or more sensors. The device determines whether the climate information is within a threshold percentage of the set point, and based on the determination that the climate information is not within the threshold percentage of the set point, the device adjusts the set point.
BUILDING SYSTEM FOR BUILDING EQUIPMENT WITH DATA HEALTH OPERATIONS
A building system operates to receive building data from one or more building data sources associated with the building, wherein at least a portion of the building data is associated with control of the one or more environmental conditions of the building and generate, based on the building data, one or more data quality indicators for the building data received from the one or more building data sources, the one or more data quality indicators indicating quality levels of the building data. The building system operates to generate user interface data configured to cause a user device to display a user interface providing indications of the one or more data quality indicators.

Inhibiting deleterious control coupling in an enclosure having multiple HVAC regions
The current application is related to environmental-conditioning systems controlled by intelligent controllers and, in particular, to an intelligent-thermostat-controlled HVAC system that detects and ameliorates control coupling between intelligent thermostats. Control coupling can lead to inefficient HVAC operation. When control coupling is detected, a settings-adjustment directive is sent to at least one intelligent thermostat to adjust one or more intelligent-thermostat settings, including an HVAC-cycle-initiation delay parameter, swing parameter, and a parameter that indicates whether or not an intelligent thermostat should first obtain confirmation or permission before initiating an HVAC cycle.
Lighting control analyzer
The present invention relates to a lighting control analyzer (170), and a corresponding method (600), for determining occupancy behavior in an area (110, 200) illuminated by at least one lighting device (120a-c) controllable by a lighting controller (160). The lighting control analyzer is adapted to receive light settings (d) for control of the at least one lighting device, the light settings being determined by the lighting controller using a lighting control strategy for the area. The lighting control strategy represents a desired illumination of the area, based on presence information associated with the area. The lighting control analyzer is further adapted to determine the occupancy behavior, based on the light settings and the lighting control strategy. The occupancy behavior may comprise normal locations of occupants (401-417), how often occupants are normally located at different locations, and entrance points of the area.
