Air conditioner
An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit having a compressor and an outdoor heat exchanger. A ventilator connected to the outdoor unit by refrigerant pipes allows outside air to pass through a heat exchanger and flow into an indoor space, and allows indoor air to pass through the heat exchanger and flow to an outdoor space. The ventilator includes a supply passage through which the outside air flows into the indoor space, and a discharge passage through which the indoor air is discharged to the outdoor space. The ventilaro also includes a main heat exchanger in the supply passage and a recovery heat exchanger in the discharge passage. A refrigerant distributor supplies the refrigerant from the outdoor unit to the main heat exchanger or the recovery heat exchanger, vice-versa. A reheat exchanger in the supply passage heats the air flowing therethrough.
Defrosting cycle control
An Air Handling Unit for a ventilation system in a building has supply and extract air channels, each with an inlet and an outlet for guiding air to and from a building. Each air channel includes a damper controlling air flow. The air channels are in a heat exchanging relation to each other. The AHU also includes a fan and an Electronic Control Unit. The ECU outputs a defrost cycle initiation signal to defrost the heat recovery arrangement. The ECU outputs a defrost cycle termination signal to end the defrost cycle upon indication of the defrosting being completed. To optimize the defrost cycle time the ECU changes the first or second criterion for defrost cycle termination signal depending on the time for performing the defrost cycle such that the time period of the defrost cycle is prolonged/shortened when the defrost cycle time period is shorter/longer than preferred.
STRETCHABLE LAMINATES
The present invention provides stretchable laminates with a flat appearance on the visible surface. The laminates comprise a textile layer, a functional layer, and a plurality of elastic fibers. The plurality of elastic fibers are in a substantially parallel arrangement and the internal distance between adjacent fibers does not exceed the maximum fiber spacing, which depends on laminate thickness in a stretched state. Also provided are garments and footwear comprising the stretchable laminates and methods of producing the stretchable laminates.
FAN
The aspects of the disclosed embodiments are directed to a fan for displacing a fluid, which fan includes a rotor rotating around its axis of rotation and surfaces, such as blades, forming a flow when the rotor rotates. The rotor is arranged to displace fluid simultaneously with at least two different flows (F1, F2).
Air-conditioning method and device
The invention relates to an air conditioning apparatus including a first absorptive heat exchanger having sorption channels in at least one flow direction, a method for conditioning fluids, in particular for cooling and/or drying a stream of air, an adsorptive air-air cross-flow heat exchanger, and an outer wall element including an integrated air conditioning apparatus.
Air-conditioning control apparatus, air-conditioning control method, and computer readable medium
An air-conditioning method suitable for reducing energy consumption is selected. A comparison unit 105 compares first operating efficiency, which is operating efficiency when only first air conditioning is performed, with second operating efficiency, which is operating efficiency when only second air conditioning is performed. The first air conditioning is air conditioning in an air-conditioning target space by an air conditioner, and the second air conditioning is air conditioning in the air-conditioning target space by supplying outdoor air without adjusting a temperature of the outdoor air to the air-conditioning target space. A decision unit 106 decides whether to perform the first air conditioning and whether to perform the second air conditioning, based on a result of comparison between the first operating efficiency and the second operating efficiency by the comparison unit 105.
Dual-wheel HVAC system and method having improved frost resistance
An improved HVAC system and method for simultaneously controlling the temperature and humidity of an indoor space while providing high quantities of outdoor air is described herein. The HVAC system of the present invention utilizes a heating source positioned in the supply passageway between an energy recovery wheel and a dehumidification wheel in order to control the temperature and humidity of air supplied to the indoor space while preventing frost build-up on the energy recover wheel. By positioning a heating source between the energy recovery wheel and a dehumidification wheel, the system is able to prevent frost accumulation on the energy recovery wheel during winter operation while also increasing the relative humidity of the supply air.
Dual-wheel HVAC system and method having improved dew point control
A dedicated outdoor air system and method that is capable of operating over a broader spectrum of conditions. The HVAC system of the present invention utilizes a heating means positioned within the return air passageway in order to optimize the regeneration of the desiccant wheel and energy recovery device. By positioning a heating means upstream of the regeneration side of the desiccant wheel, the system is capable of providing supply air having low dew points to the enclosed space while still providing improved energy efficiency over conventional HVAC systems.
AIR HANDLING UNIT WITH A CANOPY THEREOVER FOR USE WITH A DATA CENTER AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
Described herein is an air handling unit that includes canopies for compressor fans and exhaust fans located on a top thereof, which canopies provide for noise abatement and a canopy to assist in keeping precipitation out. The canopies further include louvers that can be controlled to provide for even further noise abatement and precipitation control.
RECOVERY HEAT EXCHANGER IN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM
There is disclosed an environmental control system for thermally conditioning air within an enclosed space comprising: a refrigerant circuit having a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and an outdoor heat exchanger. The system further comprises an intake flowpath for directing an intake flow of fresh air to the enclosed space, wherein a heat-transfer section of the indoor heat exchanger is located within the intake flowpath to thermally condition the intake flow of fresh air before entering the enclosed space. The system further comprises an exhaust flowpath for directing an exhaust flow of thermally conditioned air to an external environment. A recovery heat exchanger is provided to transfer thermal energy between the exhaust flow and the intake flow at a location within the intake flowpath that is upstream of the heat-transfer section of the indoor heat exchanger.
