20170276394 · 2017-09-28 ·

The invention provides an HVAC duct having an inner composite tube and an outer composite tube. The inner composite tube has an interior metal wall, a primary foam wall, and an exterior metal wall. The outer composite tube has an interior metal wall, a secondary foam wall, and an exterior metal wall. In certain embodiments, the inner composite tube is nested inside the outer composite tube in an end-offset configuration. In these embodiments, the first end of the duct defines a male detent having a radially-outward-facing metal engagement face projecting beyond the interior metal wall of the outer composite tube, whereas the second end of the duct defines a female detent having a radially-inward-facing metal engagement face projecting beyond the exterior metal wall of the inner composite tube. Also provided is an HVAC ductwork assembly wherein two ducts of the described nature are connected in an advantageous end-to-end manner.

Mechanically-Adjustable Supplemental Cooling Systems And Methods For Portable Information Handling Systems

Systems and methods that may be implemented to provide supplemental cooling air for a portable information handling system from one or more mechanically-adjustable cooling air supply outlets that may be positioned and/or repositioned at multiple different locations relative to a portable information handling system, such as notebook computer or laptop computer. In one example, the disclosed systems and methods may be implemented to have one or more mechanically-adjustable cooling air supply outlets that may be positioned and/or repositioned to align with differing geometries of cooling air inlet opening locations that correspond to different portable information handling system sizes and/or designs.

METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A TUBULAR MEMBER, AND TUBULAR MEMBER

At least one of the fixed portion and the moving portion is provided with a first sealing protrusion, and the first sealing protrusion is arranged between the fixed portion and the moving portion. The sealing mechanism may be used with a ventilation assembly of the air-conditioning apparatus.

DUCTING SYSTEM FOR HVAC APPLICATION
20220235964 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A ducting system for a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) application includes a duct assembly having an inner duct member, and an outer duct member disposed around the inner duct such that the outer and inner duct members together define a pre-determined amount of space therebetween. The ducting system also includes a bonding and insulation composite that is disposed in the pre-determined amount of space between the inner and outer duct members to insulate the inner and outer duct members from each other yet adhesively bond with each of the inner and outer duct members for imparting structural rigidity to the duct assembly.

Pre-fabricated grease duct system

The present double walled grease duct includes a tubular outer shell surrounding a tubular inner liner, wherein a spacer is positioned perpendicular to the walls of the outer shell and the inner liner. The spacer can include a plurality of vertical metal strips extend from a top edge of the spacer to the bottom edge of the spacer, wherein the top edge of the spacer contacts the walls of the outer shell and wherein the bottom edge of the spacer contacts the walls of the inner liner. The metal strips resist the different rates of thermal expansion between the outer shell and inner liner ultimately preventing the collapse of the inner liner under pressure from thermal expansion.

A flexible duct includes a hollow tube shape, at least one end, a first circumferential attachment and a second circumferential attachment integral to the at least one end, wherein the first circumferential attachment and the second circumferential attachment are each configured to independently mechanically couple the at least one end around a first inlet or a first outlet, and wherein the first circumferential attachment and the second circumferential attachment are different. A method includes providing a flexible duct, selecting one of the first circumferential attachment or second circumferential attachment of the flexible duct, and mechanically coupling the selected first circumferential attachment or second circumferential attachment around the first inlet or first outlet. A connector for a flexible duct includes a hollow tube shape extending between a first connector end and a second connector end and a first circumferential attachment and second circumferential attachment integral to the at least one end.

Fastening system for a pipe passing through a panel of an air handling unit, and air handling unit comprising such a system

A fastening system for a pipe passing through an insulating side panel of an air handling unit. The panel includes two parallel walls separated by a layer of insulating material, a hole provided through the walls and a layer of insulating material for passing the pipe. The fastening system includes two bellows fixed on each of the parallel walls of the pane around the hole. Each bellow includes a frame fixed on one of the walls and a deformable portion fixed to the frame. The deformable portion includes a wide portion which connects the deformable portion to the frame, and a narrow portion fitted around the pipe.

ADJUSTABLE DIFFUSER ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A diffuser assembly for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a housing having a wall and a passage formed in the wall. The diffuser assembly also includes a first adjustment panel moveably coupled to the wall and having a first flange and a second adjustment panel moveably coupled to the wall and having a second flange.
