Mechanically-adjustable supplemental cooling systems and methods for portable information handling systems
Systems and methods that may be implemented to provide supplemental cooling air for a portable information handling system from one or more mechanically-adjustable cooling air supply outlets that may be positioned and/or repositioned at multiple different locations relative to a portable information handling system, such as notebook computer or laptop computer. In one example, the disclosed systems and methods may be implemented to have one or more mechanically-adjustable cooling air supply outlets that may be positioned and/or repositioned to align with differing geometries of cooling air inlet opening locations that correspond to different portable information handling system sizes and/or designs.
PRE-FABRICATED MODULAR FIRE-RATED CONDUIT ASSEMBLY
A modular fire-rated conduit or duct assembly suitable for applications such as ventilation systems in a multi-floor or multi-room building. According to an embodiment, the modular fire-rated conduit assembly comprises two or more duct or conduit sections, each of the duct sections includes an inner duct liner and an outer casing, and a plurality of casing spacers configured to form a thermal insulating cavity between at least a portion of space between the inner duct liner and the outer casing, and the thermal insulating cavity is configured to receive a thermal material, a first exterior flange connector is attached to one end of each of the inner duct liners, a second exterior flange connector attached to another end of each of the inner duct liners, the first and the second exterior flange connectors are configured to form an assembly junction for coupling respective ends of the duct or conduit sections to form a connected run of the conduit or duct sections, and a joint connection end is formed between the exterior flange connector and the outer casing, and the joint connection end is configured to receive a joint insulating material, and further includes a return configured to receive a connection edge of a joint cover, and the joint cover is configured to encapsulate the joint connection ends of adjacent duct sections modules.
ELLIPTICAL DUCTING SYSTEMS AND REINFORCED CONNECTORS
A ducting system includes an elongate duct section or length and formed flange connectors at each end of the duct. Both the duct section and the flange connectors are elliptical in cross section, defined by a major axis and a minor axis. The elliptical cross section has the advantage of reducing the overall height of the duct system along minor axis, as well as defining a rigid structure due to there being no flat surface about the circumference of the duct, while also capable of transporting a significant volume of air relative to a circular duct system of the same size perimeter.
Improved Test Barrier for Air Distribution System
A test barrier, a system incorporating the test barrier, and a method for using the same is disclosed herein. The test barrier is intended for use in testing that may be conducted on sections of an air distribution, HVAC, and other similar systems. The test barrier is comprised of a temporary test barrier portion and a gasket connection portion. The test barrier may be advantageously connected to a rip cord that enables easy removal of the test barrier upon completion of any testing.
Exhaust vent
The present invention is directed to an exhaust vent assembly including a clamp, a sleeve, a neck, a damper in the neck, a cap attached to the neck and a collar. The exhaust vent assembly may be configured without any penetrative fasteners. The invention is further directed to a clamp for attachment to round duct and a building surface to provide strength, rigidity and support to the round duct.
Semi-rigid duct system
A duct system is formed from a plurality of tubular sections each formed from a flexible panel with tapering sides. Inner and outer joiner plates are attached to one side edge and the second side edge is inserted in the recess between the plates and fastened such that each section has a first open end and a second slightly larger open end. Anchors are spaced around each end of each tubular section. The first end of each tubular section is inserted into the larger second end of an adjacent tubular section and an end pulling element is connected between the anchors on adjacent sections an operated to draw the connected first and second anchors together to make a substantially air tight seal between the tubular sections.
Non-continuously rotatable and removable ferrule for duct fitting
A fitting assembly for connection to a flexible duct includes a ferrule configured for insertion into an open end of the flexible duct a fitting removably connected to the ferrule. The ferrule includes a sidewall defining a minor diameter and a major diameter spaced apart from the minor diameter, and a ferrule thread extending radially outward from the sidewall. One of the fitting and the ferrule defines a recess. Another of the fitting and the ferrule comprises a tab configured to extend into the recess. One of the recess and the tab comprises an edge. Another of the recess and the tab comprises a ramped surface extending in a circumferential direction of the ferrule, such that rotation of the ferrule relative to the fitting causes the ramped surface to engage the edge, thereby radially deflecting the tab and disengaging the tab from the recess.
Filter, manufacturing method for filter and air conditioner
A filter, a manufacturing method for a filter, and an air conditioner are provided. The filter includes a casing, a transition tube, and a filter screen assembly. The filter screen assembly is provided in the casing, fitted with and connected to an inner wall of the casing, the casing is an integrally formed piece, and two axial ends of the casing have neck sections, and two neck sections are both fixedly connected to the transition tube.
CURB ASSEMBLY FOR HVAC SYSTEM
A curb assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a frame configured to couple to a curb of a structure, a pedestal system configured to couple to a housing of the HVAC system and to the frame, such that the pedestal system extends from the housing to the frame, and an adjustable duct connector configured to fluidly couple an air flow passage of the housing with ductwork of the structure. The pedestal system is configured to enclose a space formed between the frame and the housing and the adjustable duct connector configured to be disposed within the space.
Duct Replacement Device and Method of Use
A replacement duct sleeve assembly and method of use provides a duct sleeve with a pole adaptor hole on the side that can be attached to a new A/C/heater duct and “fished” into a narrow attic space to a register box, then left in place as the adaptor pole is unscrewed by the pole adaptor, and the pole adaptor is retrieved with a cord. Inside the house, a worker grabs a gripper bar that spans the interior of the duct to work the duct into place. Once in place, plastic zip ties which hold the gripper bar to two mounting braces are snipped, the gripper bar is removed, and the mounting braces are screwed to the sides of the register box, thereby permanently attaching the replacement duct to the register box. A plug is then used to seal the pole adaptor hole.
