Fuselage and aircraft including an air distribution multifunctional substructure and assembly method
An aircraft fuselage including a fuselage skin, cross-members supporting a floor of the aircraft, wherein the fuselage includes a multifunctional substructure fixed to at least one of the cross-members in a lowered part of the cross-member. The multifunctional substructure comprises: at least one duct of an air distribution system having a substantially rectangular section at the location of the at least one cross-member and having lateral walls of the duct that are substantially vertical; a seat fixing track or a stiffener fixed on a first lateral wall of the duct of the multifunctional substructure, and; a seat fixing track or a stiffener fixed on a second lateral wall, opposite the first lateral wall, of the duct of the multifunctional substructure.
Conditioned air distribution ceiling plenum
Embodiments of the disclosure can relate to a ceiling mounted air distribution system for a railcar. According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a ceiling-mounted air distribution plenum may include: a diffuser configured to transmit air to at least one first air channel, the at least one first air channel having a first end configured to couple to the diffuser, a second end distal from the first end; at least one second air channel disposed proximate to and longitudinally with the at least one first air channel, the at least one second air channel having a first end configured to couple to the diffuser, a second end distal from the first end, and at least one air distribution hole, and at least one channel divider disposed to separate the at least one first air channel and the at least one second air channel.
Air Moving Device
A portable enclosure is configured to mix room air with a controlled amount of exterior air via one or more flexible conduits disposed between the enclosure and an exterior window. At least one flexible conduit is connected to a barrier structure which is designed for sealable placement within the window. One or more mixing dampers are employed to control the amount of exterior air supplied to the enclosure. An air moving device delivers exterior air in controlled amounts to the enclosure which is designed to be moveable so that a more desirable (fresher, cooler, and more contaminant free) stream of air is deliverable to the personal space of an occupant to satisfy ventilation and temperature requirements.
AIR CONDITIONER AND PIPE INSTALLATION APPARATUS THEREFOR
An air conditioner includes an indoor unit to be installed in indoor space, an outdoor unit to be installed in outdoor space, the outdoor unit being separated by a building wall from the indoor space, a refrigerant pipe to connect the indoor unit with the outdoor, a ventilation pipe to connect the indoor unit to the outdoor space, a ventilation device to be arranged in the indoor space and to be connected to the ventilation pipe to ventilate indoor air in the indoor space to outdoor space or outdoor air in the outdoor space to the indoor space through the ventilation pipe, and a sleeve to be installed to pass through a hole formed at the wall to guide the refrigerant pipe and the ventilation pipe therethrough.
VENTILATION DEVICE FOR A FABRIC BUILDING
A ventilation device is supported in at a ventilation opening in a fabric panel of a building in which the fabric panel is supported under tension across a frame. The device includes a lower frame and an intermediate frame with respective flanges that receive a perimeter edge of the fabric panel about the ventilation opening therebetween. A cover is joined to the frames so as to prevent precipitation entering the frame opening while providing exterior ventilation from the ventilation opening of the building through one or more exterior openings in the cover.
Air mixing device
A portable enclosure is configured to mix room air with a controlled amount of exterior air via one or more flexible conduits disposed between the enclosure and an exterior window. At least one flexible conduit is connected to a barrier structure which is designed for sealable placement within the window. One or more mixing dampers are employed to control the amount of exterior air supplied to the enclosure. An air moving device delivers exterior air in controlled amounts to the enclosure which is designed to be movable so that a more desirable (fresher, cooler, and more contaminant free) stream of air is deliverable to the personal space of an occupant to satisfy ventilation and temperature requirements.
Method for improving the ventilation effectiveness of large conditioned air plenum environments including such environments in multilevel raised floor electro-mechanical distribution systems
The present invention is intended for use in large conditioned air plenum environments and particularly in the plenum environment of multilevel raised floor electro-mechanical distribution systems. The invention comprises the step of providing at least one height change of dedicated conditioned air plenum, which alters the plenum's volume. This makes it possible to maintain the preferred static pressure and velocity for conditioned air throughout the entire plenum even as the amount of air in the plenum decreases as conditioned air discharges into the intended space outside of the plenum.
DUCT SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING A DUCT SUPPORT
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a duct support assembly. The duct support assembly can include a frame structure and a duct support. The duct support can be configured to be installed in a floor assembly between a first beam portion of a first wall frame and a second beam portion of a second wall frame and to provide a duct exit from the frame structure. The duct support can be configured to transfer a tension and/or compression load. Also disclosed herein are embodiments of a method of using a duct support to provide a duct exit from a frame structure. The method can include positioning the duct support in a floor assembly between a first beam portion of a first wall frame and a second beam portion of a second wall frame.
VENT SYSTEM FOR USE WITH FLOORING SYSTEMS
A vent system comprises a floor covering member for use as a finished floor and a metal member. The floor covering member comprises a plurality of first openings and has a first thickness that has been reduced by a first amount and the metal member is secured to a bottom surface of the reduced-thickness floor covering member. The metal member has a plurality of second openings aligned with the plurality of first openings.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PASSIVELY COOLING AN INTERIOR
A system passively cools, regulates humidity and/or rectifies diffusive transport of water vapor in an interior area within a structure. The system includes a membrane assembly covering a portion of the structure, wherein the membrane has an interior side facing the interior area and an exterior side. The membrane assembly defines a plurality of pores. When cooling, a supply of fluid is provided to the membrane assembly so that capillary action of the pores redistributes the fluid to create evaporation and, in turn, the desired heat flow. The membrane assembly can include an architectural membrane coated with a porous matrix coating to form the pores. A pump can provide the fluid to the interior side of the membrane assembly. Preferably, the architectural membrane is woven PTFE-coated fiberglass and the porous matrix coating is titanium dioxide, zeolites and/or silica gel.
