Apparatus and method for passively cooling an interior
10704794 · 2020-07-07 · ·

A system passively cools, regulates humidity and/or rectifies diffusive transport of water vapor in an interior area within a structure. The system includes a membrane assembly covering a portion of the structure, wherein the membrane has an interior side facing the interior area and an exterior side. The membrane assembly defines a plurality of pores. When cooling, a supply of fluid is provided to the membrane assembly so that capillary action of the pores redistributes the fluid to create evaporation and, in turn, the desired heat flow. The membrane assembly can include an architectural membrane coated with a porous matrix coating to form the pores. A pump can provide the fluid to the interior side of the membrane assembly. Preferably, the architectural membrane is woven PTFE-coated fiberglass and the porous matrix coating is titanium dioxide, zeolites and/or silica gel.

Vented Floor Arrangement and a Kit of Parts for Use in Assembling the Floor

A plug which fits into the top aperture of an air vent to be mounted on an air flow pipe or flume prevents cement flowing into the vent when a concrete floor is laid. The vent has a peripheral protrusion and a top flange. The plug protrusion snap fits into a in the top of the vent aperture and can be pulled out when the concrete is set. The plug has sides which extend upward an outward from the vent top so the laid concrete floor has a slot communicating with the vent and the vent top is installed below the floor and thus cannot be easily damaged by storing and removal of produce. The vent is inserted into a plate covering a flume where the plate has ribs and protrusions locating the required rebar and end tabs holding the plates end to end.

VENTILATION UNIT, SYSTEM AND METHOD

A ventilation unit is for ventilating an indoor space, and incorporates an air cleaning device and mechanical restrictor for controlling a restriction to a flow resulting from a pressure differential across the unit. There is determination of the inside and outside air pressures in the vicinity of the unit and of air quality parameters inside and outside. The air cleaning device and the mechanical restrictor are controlled in dependence on the determined air pressures and air quality parameters. This provides a fan-less, and hence low-power ventilation unit, which relies on throttling the natural air flow across the unit to provide flow control, and hence enable control of air quality. The air cleaning device may be operated only when the flow is into the inside space, saving power.

MICRO OFFICE WALL PANEL
20200149274 · 2020-05-14 · ·

A micro office wall panel with a layer of backed mineral felt along a side wall. There is further a cavity created along an opposite side wall. Also, in the middle of the lower part of the wall panel there is a radial fan situated under the layer of the backed mineral felt under the cavity. In the area of the radial fan, the side wall facing out of the micro office features a suction hole. Above the radial fan there is an inlet of an air supply line that is situated longitudinally in the middle of the cavity. There are also inlets for two air exhaust lines, each of which is situated longitudinally in the cavity along their sides. The wall panel further features exhaust lines and an acoustic damper.

A duct board system/method utilizing extruded edge interconnection strips (EIS) is disclosed. The EIS are formed to allow linkage of planar duct board sheets (DBS) in a variety of connection methodologies including right angle corner connections (RAC), planar sheet connections (PSC), planar interface connections (PIC), and surface interface connections (SIC), without the need for specialized DBS cutting tools or fabrication dies. The EIS may incorporate provisions for spaced and/or on-demand fastener connection of DBS to the EIS, provisions for ridged/lobed/edged linkage of the DBS to the EIS, as well as provisions for edge sealed linkage of the DBS to the EIS.

Wall mounted rail system
10535985 · 2020-01-14 ·

A wall mounted rail system for providing additional air flow and electrical outlets to a room. The system includes a first rail removably securable to a second rail, wherein each rail includes a front surface and a rear surface. The rear surface can secure to a wall and a decorative molding, such as chair rail molding, is secured to the front surface. A plurality of ports are disposed on a bottom face of the front surface and can supply power to a device connected to each port. Further, each port is electrically connected to one another. Tubing extends through an interior volume of each rail and plurality of apertures are disposed on a top face of the front surface thereof. Each aperture is in fluid communication with the tubing to allow air to flow from the tubing, through the apertures, and into the room.
