Air conditioner with condensation drain assembly and improved filter rack

A condensate drain assembly includes a drain pan configured to receive condensate from an evaporator coil of an air conditioning system. The drain pan is configured to be removed from the air conditioning system. The condensate drain assembly also includes a drainage pipe configured to translate the condensate from the drain pan to a drain located beneath the air conditioning system and a drain pan end cap. The drain pan end cap includes a first aperture configured to drain the condensate from the drain pan and a second aperture configured to align with the drainage pipe.

Drainage mechanism and air conditioning system including the same

A drainage mechanism is connected to a drain pump that sucks water from a drain pan. The drainage mechanism includes a connecting part that connects to the drain pump, a first flow path, a folded part, and a second flow path. The first flow path extends upward from the connecting part. The folded part has a first end connected to an upper end of the first flow path and a second end on a side opposite to the first end. The folded part changes a direction of the water flowing therein from upward to downward. The second flow path extends from the second end. The second flow path is a pipe that has an inner diameter of 13 mm or less. The flow path area of the folded part is larger than the flow path area of the second flow path.

Dehumidifier

A dehumidifier is provided that may include a bucket; a drain pan comprising a drain passage configured to guide condensed water dropped from an evaporator to the bucket; a pump; a barrier configured to define a bucket space in which the bucket is accommodated; and a pump water inlet line and a pump water outlet line, which are connected to the pump. The pump water inlet line may include a flexible tube a portion of which is inserted into the bucket. The bucket may have an opening into which a portion of the flexible tube may be inserted. A portion of the flexible tube may be bent to be easily inserted into the bucket through the opening of the bucket.

Heat exchanger tube with flattened draining dimple

A heat exchanger includes a tube having a length and an outside boundary. The tube is configured to convey fluid therethrough to facilitate heat transfer, and the outside boundary of the tube having a bottom wall portion, a top wall portion opposing the bottom wall portion, and two side wall portions between the bottom wall portion and the top wall portion, in which a segment of the length of the tube has a plurality of dimples selectively placed outside of the bottom wall portion.

DEHUMIDIFIER

A dehumidifier includes a machine body having a dehumidification function and a water tank including a receiving cavity. The dehumidifier has a working state, in which the machine body is directly above the water tank and the receiving cavity receives water formed by dehumidification by the machine body.

Air-conditioning apparatus including detector to detect contaminant adhered to drain pan

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a drain pan that receives water, and a detector including an ultrasonic sensor that emits and receives ultrasonic waves. The detector analyzes a response signal from the ultrasonic sensor to detect a contaminant generated in the drain pan. A bottom flat surface portion that forms a bottom of the drain pan is located parallel to a flat surface portion that forms a receiving surface of the ultrasonic sensor.

DEHUMIDIFIER

A dehumidifier includes a machine body having a dehumidification function and a water tank including a receiving cavity. The receiving cavity includes a support boss on an inner side wall of the receiving cavity. The dehumidifier has a working state, in which a bottom of the machine body abuts against the support boss.

AIR CONDITIONER
20230098399 · 2023-03-30 ·

The air conditioner according to the present disclosure may comprise a heat exchanger exchanging heat between air and refrigerant, a fan discharging air toward the heat exchanger, a first drain pan disposed in a direction crossed to a direction of air flowing from the fan to the heat exchanger, wherein the first drain pan has an inlet opening through which air discharged from the fan flows toward the heat exchanger, a second drain pan disposed in a direction parallel to a direction of air flowing from the fan to the heat exchanger and a water level sensor rotatably disposed with reference to a rotating center spaced apart from the first drain pan and the second drain pan, wherein the water level sensor detects a water level of water gathered in one of the first drain pan and the second drain pan.

PACKAGED TERMINAL AIR CONDITIONER AND WALL SLEEVE THEREFOR
20230029610 · 2023-02-02 ·

A packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system includes a wall sleeve in which a chassis is mounted. The wall sleeve includes a bottom configured as a drain pan to collect condensate from the chilling components of the chassis. At a side wall of the wall sleeve there is an aperture configured to allow a person to insert a treatment pellet. The treatment pellet is water soluble and contains an antimicrobial component that prevent or inhibits the growth of biological material that could obstruct the drain system of the wall sleeve and PTAC. A rotating cover is positioned at the side wall to normally cover the aperture and prevent foreign objects from entering the PTAC, but the rotating cover can be rotated so that a hole in the rotating cover aligns with the aperture, allowing insertion of the treatment pellet.

CONDENSATE COLLECTION ASSEMBLY

The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that includes a condensate collection assembly. The condensate collection assembly includes a drain pan configured to collect condensate generated by a heat exchanger of an HVAC system. The condensate collection assembly also includes a support member configured to couple to the drain pan and extend from the drain pan. Further, the condensate collection assembly includes a shield panel configured to couple to the support member and overlap with the heat exchanger relative to a direction of air flow across the heat exchanger.
