Solid state radio frequency (SSRF) water heater device
A solid-state radio frequency (SSRF) water heating apparatus is disclosed. In embodiments, the SSRF water heater includes a water tank, SSRF generator array and RF sensors enclosed within an RF-shielded cage. The SSRF array synthesizes RF signals in the microwave range and transmits the RF energy through the water tank, exciting and heating the water molecules without direct contact. The RF sensors at the opposite end of the tank sense residual RF energy not absorbed by the water. Control processors regulate the generation and transmission of the RF energy based on the sensed residual energy. The heated water and/or generated steam is piped to hot water dispensers, beverage makers, or steam ovens.
TRAILER FOR MODULAR HOME DELIVERY AND ASSEMBLY
A trailer configured to transport a load includes a bed including an upper surface configured to support the load, a slot positioned in the bed and extending from a front portion of the bed to a rear portion of the bed, and a first rotation pin configured to translate within the slot and extending from within the slot to above the upper surface of the bed.
Modular home delivery system
A method of unloading a modular home from a trailer includes extending a plurality of linear actuators coupled to overhanging portions of a modular home positioned on a bed of a trailer until the linear actuators lift the modular home off of the trailer, sending instructions to one or more crawlers to move under the modular home, retracting the linear actuators to lower the modular home such that a lower surface of the modular home rests on a platform positioned on each of the crawlers, sending instructions to the crawlers to move the modular home to an installation location, extending the linear actuators until the linear actuators lift the modular home off of the crawlers, sending instructions to the crawlers to move out from under the modular home, and retracting the linear actuators to lower the modular home to an installed height.
Systems and methods for an automatic modular housing delivery system
A method of unloading a modular home from a trailer includes positioning a modular home on a trailer bed. The modular home includes a first housing portion having a first vertical edge coupled to a second vertical edge of a second housing portion by a hinge, and the first and second housing portions are arranged longitudinally on the trailer. The method further includes rotating the first and second housing portions about the hinge such that the first and second housing portions overhang from the sides of the bed, forming first and second overhanging portions. The method further includes coupling at least one of (1) a first horizontal edge of the first housing portion to a second horizontal edge of the second housing portion, or (2) a third vertical edge of the first housing portion to a fourth vertical edge of the second housing portion upon completion of the rotating.
Water heater appliances and methods of sabbath operation
A water heater appliance, as provided herein, may include a casing, a tank, an inlet conduit, an electric heating system, a mixing valve, and a controller. The electric heating system may be in thermal communication with the tank to heat water within the tank. The mixing valve mounted to the casing downstream from the tank. The controller may be operably coupled to the electric heating system and the mixing valve to initiate a Sabbath cycle. The Sabbath cycle may include determining an anticipated Sabbath condition at the water heater appliance, directing a lower portion of the tank of the water heater appliance to a sub-cooking Sabbath temperature below 45 degrees Celsius based on the anticipated Sabbath condition, determining the sub-cooking Sabbath temperature is met, and directing a mixing valve of the water heater appliance to a Sabbath set-point temperature in response to determining the sub-cooking Sabbath temperature is met.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR HEATED FLUIDS
A monitoring system (10) for monitoring parameters of a fluid heater. The heater (30) comprises a storage vessel (32) for storing heated fluid therein. The monitoring system (10) includes a first sensor (12) and associated first electrical metering circuitry (14), a second sensor (16) and associated second electrical metering circuitry (18), and a control switch (22). The control switch (22) is operable so as to be able to adopt a first mode of operation in which the first electrical metering circuitry (14) is activated, and, a second mode of operation in which the second electrical metering circuitry is activated. The monitoring system (10) also includes a controller (24) for causing periodic operation of the control switch so that it switches between the first and second modes of operation.
WATER HEATER INLET FITTING, FLOW SENSOR, SHUT OFF VALVE AND DIFFUSER
An integrated valve and flow sensor for a water heater can have a valve body that includes a valve and a flow sensor for measuring the flow of water through the valve. The integrated valve and flow sensor can be disposed within a fitting that can be attached to a water heater. An actuator for opening and closing the valve can be attached to the fitting. A diffuser can also be attached to the fitting.
Liquid heater
A liquid heater may heat liquid using at least one of an electric heater or a hybrid heat pump. The liquid heater includes a tank to store liquid, an insulator at an outer surface of the tank, and a case surrounding the insulator. The case includes a first outer panel, a second outer panel, and a cover panel fastened between the first outer panel and the second outer panel. The cover panel is detachable from the liquid heater to access electronic devices such as a controller for the electric heater.
Water heating system with inclined heating element
A water heating system is provided. The water heating system includes a tank having a wall, a water inlet defined through the wall and configured to allow ingress of water into the tank, and a water outlet defined through the wall and configured to allow egress of water from the tank. The water heating system also includes a heating element disposed within the tank, having a substantially elongate shape, and being moveable between a first inclination angle with respect to a base of the tank and a second inclination angle with respect to the base of the tank.
