BOILER FOR MAKING HOT WATER AND ROOM HEATING WATER AVAILABLE SIMULTANEOUSLY
20230358440 · 2023-11-09 ·

The present disclosure relates to a boiler for making hot water and room heating water available simultaneously, which is capable of enabling a user to use hot water and room heating simultaneously. According to the present disclosure, a thermal loss of room heating water may be minimized because the room heating water is independently supplied to a room heating pipe and returned regardless of the use of hot water, and the hot water with a high temperature may be consistently supplied because the hot water is independently supplied to a hot water pipe and returned regardless of the use of the room heating water. In addition, the boiler may serve as both a hot-water heat exchanger and a distributor (low loss header).

Apparatuses and methods for supplying natural gas to a frac water heater
11391488 · 2022-07-19 · ·

Apparatuses and methods for heating well fracturing fluid using natural gas supplied to a frac water heater are provided. In some embodiments, portable separators can be tied into an existing, on-site, natural gas source and supply the heating unit's burner system with the producer's own produced natural gas (for example, sweet fuel gas). By using on-site sweet fuel gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or diesel consumption and associated cartage costs can be reduced or eliminated. As such, the apparatuses and methods can also reduce the associated carbon footprint on the environment. In some embodiments, the apparatuses and methods can comprise a drying element to dry or condition the gas prior to use.

Temperature control for gas water heaters and related methods

A processor for a controller of a water heater is configured to receive water heater control parameters and an output from a sensor indicating a measured temperature of water in the water heater. The processor is also configured to determine whether to enter an anti-stacking control mode or to enter a demand anticipation control mode. In the anti-stacking control mode the processor is configured to initiate a call for heat when the measured temperature reaches a trigger temperature, calculate a burner on delay value and set a second timer with the calculated value, and calculate a reduced activation time. In the demand anticipation control mode the processor is configured to increase the variable offset based on a frequency of the demand anticipation control mode being activated, initiate a call for heat, and control, based on the reduced activation time or the increased offset value, the burner.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WIRELESSLY CONFIGURING CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM CONTROLS

A gas powered appliance includes a burner for burning gas, a flame sensor positioned proximate the burner to detect a strength of a flame on the burner and to output signals indicative of the strength of the flame, and a controller connected to the flame sensor. The controller includes a communication interface, a processor, and a memory containing instructions that program the controller to control the burner, receive the signals from the flame sensor indicative of the strength of the flame, determine the strength of the flame from the received signals, and output, using the communication interface, an indication of the strength of the flame to a mobile device for display on the mobile device.

Gas hot water supply

In a gas hot water heater, changes of the signal output of an A/F sensor are calibrated in the atmosphere, in which the A/F sensor detects an oxygen concentration in a combustion tube. The gas supplied via a gas supply pipe is injected, together with in-taken air, into a combustion tube, which is incorporated in a hot water supply tank, via an injection unit. A proportional valve controls a combustion state in the combustion tube based on the detected oxygen concentration to thereby heat water supplied in the hot water supply tank. A purging process is performed to supply air into the combustion tube, at a timing between an extinguishment operation first performed after the ignition the gas mixture in the combustion tube and a re-ignition operation. Changes of signal output characteristics of the A/F sensor are subject to the calibration after the purging process.

A combined heat and power system generates energy and efficiently captures a percentage of such energy that would otherwise be lost to, among other things, control the temperature and humidity of a house or dwelling.

Method and system for starting an intermittent flame-powered pilot combustion system

A flame powered intermittent pilot combustion controller may include a first power source and a second power source separate from the first power source, a thermal electric and/or photoelectric device, an igniter and a controller. The thermal electric and/or photoelectric device may charge the first power source when exposed to a flame. The controller and the igniter may receive power from the first power source when the first power source has sufficient available power, and may receive power from the second power source when the first power source does not have sufficient available power.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING SHORT CYCLING IN HIGH-EFFICIENCY WATER HEATERS
20210325087 · 2021-10-21 ·

The disclosed technology includes a system and method of preventing short cycling in a water heater. The system can include a burner, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The controller can be configured to perform several steps to determine whether to turn on a burner and whether to increment a temperature offset value based on the amount of time that has elapsed since the last time the burner was on.

Combustion device

A combustion device includes: a gas proportional valve; a control portion; a driving circuit; and a monitoring circuit. The monitoring circuit includes: a voltage generating portion configured to generate monitoring voltages corresponding to a driving current; and a branch output portion configured to output the monitoring voltages to a plurality of terminals of the control portion. When a voltage difference between the monitoring voltages input to the plurality of terminals is a determination reference value or more, the control portion determines that there is a failure of the monitoring circuit. When the voltage difference between the monitoring voltages is less than the determination reference value, and at least one of the monitoring voltages does not fall within a predetermined normal range while the gas proportional valve is controlled to become a predetermined state, the control portion determines that there is the failure of the monitoring circuit.
