A gas furnace is provided. Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a gas furnace operated such that the flame temperature is maximized by ensuring operation at or near stoichiometric conditions. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Furnace

A furnace including a combustion chamber for burning fuel can have increased fuel burning efficiency, increased heating efficiency, and decreased harmful emissions of combustion byproducts. A combustion air delivery system delivers primary and secondary combustion air to the combustion chamber. Primary and secondary combustion air may be delivered at amounts that increase burning efficiency. An amount of secondary combustion air can be controlled by a valve system. A heat transfer device efficiently transfers heat from products of combustion for heating an enclosed space.

Heat exchanger unit

Embodiments of the disclosure pertain to a heat exchanger unit that includes a frame and a plurality of coolers coupled therewith. The heat exchanger unit has a reference axis, namely a vertical axis. The frame has a top region, a bottom region, and a plurality of side regions. Each of the plurality of coolers may be coupled with the frame proximate to a respective side region of the plurality of side regions. The heat exchanger unit includes an airflow region therein. The heat exchanger unit includes a first set of baffles, each baffle of the first set of baffles is configured at an angle to the vertical axis.

Positive pressure amplified gas-air valve for a low NOx premix combustion system

Systems and methods are described related to a premix combustion system used in a furnace system. Prior systems have to create a negative pressure in the premix chamber to draw gas into the chamber. Embodiments under the current disclosure can use an amplifier that is pneumatically coupled to an air supply and a secondary location (besides the gas valve). Coupling to the amplifier to a location apart from the gas valve allows the system to avoid a negative pressure in the mixing chamber. The amplifier can apply an amplified pressure or signal to a gas valve regulator and thereby raise the gas pressure so that the gas supply is driven into the premix chamber.

Multi-burner head assembly

In various implementations, a multi-burner head assembly may include a venturi inlet coupled to burner heads. The multi-burner head assembly may allow control of the flame profile generated by the assembly. For example, burner heads of the multi-burner head assembly may include different characteristics, such as height.

Induced draft fan and gas furnace comprising the same

An induced draft fan, including a volute including a chamber and an air discharge pipe; and a wind wheel disposed in the chamber of the volute. The wind wheel is connected to and operationally driven by a rotation shaft of a motor. The air discharge pipe is disposed on one side of the volute, and includes an inner pipe and an outer pipe surrounding the inner pipe. The inner pipe of the air discharge pipe communicates with the chamber, to form an air discharge passage. An annular groove is disposed between the inner pipe and the outer pipe; and the outer end of the outer pipe is provided with a curved groove, the curved groove extends axially and circumferentially to divide the outer pipe into a fixed part and a flexible part.

A DEVICE FOR HEATING A MEDIUM AND AIR
20240117998 · 2024-04-11 ·

Example embodiments relate to a device for heating a medium and air. A heating source generates thermal energy by the combustion of a fuel-air-mixture. A heat exchanger serves to heat air passed along an exterior side, has an interior space into which flue gas generated during combustion of the fuel-air-mixture flows, has a fin structure on the exterior side, and transmits thermal energy to the medium pipe. The electric heating element generates thermal energy, the heat exchanger having integral structures for accommodating the electric heating element and the medium pipe. The medium pipe and the electric heating element are guided around the interior space of the heat exchanger.

AIR CONDITIONER

An air conditioner may include a casing having an inner air flow space defined therein and an entrance defined in one of a first side plate or a second side plate, a heat exchanger and a fan disposed between an outdoor air inlet body and an air outlet body in an air flow direction of the casing, a heater module inserted through the entrance into the inner air flow space, a handle mounted on one side face among both side faces of the heater module, one side face of the both side faces being closer to the entrance than the other side face thereof, a pair of guide brackets installed in the casing to slidably guide the heater module, and a door module that opens and closes the entrance. The door module may be configured to contact the handle to press the handle in a direction away from the entrance.

Heat source unit

Air heat exchangers are composed of a first air heat exchanger through a fourth air heat exchanger, which are formed in a L shape, which include long side portions and short side portions in a state where one end portion sides in an extension direction of tubes, in which a coolant is flowed, are bent; and each of the short side portions is disposed at a short hand side of a rectangular shape, in such a way that an arrangement shape of the first air heat exchanger through the fourth air heat exchanger is formed as a frame shape having a rectangular shape viewed from a plane.
