Disclosed herein is a system for automatically cleaning boiler pipes, which includes a pipe-cleaning tank provided on one side of a casing to store a cleaning solution therein and a tank supply valve provided in the pipe-cleaning tank, so as to allow the cleaning solution stored in the pipe-cleaning tank to automatically flow into a heat exchanger and various pipes inside the casing by means of only a simple operation of manipulating the tank supply valve, thereby making it easy to eliminate scale that has accumulated in the heat exchanger and the pipes.

Hot water supply device
11378283 · 2022-07-05 · ·

A scale adhesion prevention operation of a circulation pump operated in an instant hot water operation is efficiently and appropriately performed. An instant hot water circulation path is formed to bypass a hot water tap outside a hot water supply device and to pass through a heat exchanger inside the hot water supply device by operating a circulation pump when the hot water tap is closed. A controller performs a protection operation which operates the circulation pump when a first condition in which stop of the circulation pump is continued for a first time is satisfied and a second condition related to stop of a hot water supply operation is further satisfied.

Tankless water heater with display and electronic control

An apparatus and method for heating water using a tank or a tankless water heater with improved electronic control. The improved electronic control may include voice and Wi-Fi control of the water heater to allow for remote control of the water heater including through a remote server or cloud server.

MIXING VALVE WITH ANTI-SCALING FEATURES AND METHODS OF OPERATION

A mixing valve for a water heater appliance includes a valve body that defines a mixing chamber, the mixing chamber being in fluid communication with a cold water inlet conduit and a hot water inlet conduit. A plunger valve is mounted within the valve body and is moveable along a translation axis to regulate a flow of water from the hot water inlet conduit and the cold water inlet conduit. A controller periodically initiates a cleaning cycle wherein the plunger valve is moved through a full range of motion (e.g., full hot to full cold). The cleaning cycle may only be performed if there is no water flowing through the mixing valve, e.g., as determined by temperature sensor measurements.

Hot water boiler with vortex guide
11149983 · 2021-10-19 ·

A hot-water storage type boiler having a vortex guide portion is proposed. Since the present invention includes a spiral portion inside a casing, water supplied into the casing is moved to the upper side of the space part, while being in contact with fire tubes for a long time by moving spirally along the spiral portion, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency of the fire tubes. In addition, since the water supplied into the casing is moved spirally along the spiral portion to form a vortex, the flow of water moving in the direction of a hot-water discharge portion collides with a firebox lower surface part at a high speed, thereby having an effect of preventing scale from accumulating on the firebox lower surface part.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING AND REMOVING CHEMICAL DEPOSITS IN A FLUID HEATING DEVICE

The disclosed technology includes a fluid heating device that can include a heating chamber in communication with a heating element, and an ultrasonic transducer in communication with the heating chamber and for transmitting ultrasonic sound waves. The disclosed technology includes an ultrasonic transducer system that includes an assembly configured to attach to a fluid heating device, and an ultrasonic transducer affixed to the assembly. The disclosed technology also includes a method for ultrasonic cleaning within a fluid heating device that can include a controller configured to receive flow data from a flow sensor; based on the flow data, determine that fluid is flowing through a heating chamber; and output instructions for an ultrasonic transducer to output ultrasonic sound waves.

Automated water heater flushing and monitoring system

An automatically flushing water heater maintenance system may be provided, the system including a water heater and a water heater controller. The water heater may include an inlet, an outlet, and a flush outlet having a first control valve in flow communication therewith. The first control valve may be configured to control a flow of water and sediment through the flush outlet out of the water heater. The water heater controller may be configured to communicate with the first control valve by transmitting a first control signal to the first control valve, the first control signal configured to cause the first control valve to open or close as part of an automatic flushing process. As a result of the flushing, the useful life of the water heater may be extended, and/or water heater leakage alleviated. Insurance discounts may be provided based upon using the automatic water heater flushing functionality.

Sediment buster for water container flushing system including sediment separator, and associated methods
11084044 · 2021-08-10 · ·

A sediment buster is used for water heater draining. The sediment buster includes a main body defining a conduit and configured to be coupled to a drain outlet of a tank of the water heater. The conduit is configured to transport a fluid into the drain outlet to break up sediment accumulated at the drain outlet inside the tank. A first connector at an end of the main body is configured to be coupled to the drain outlet of the tank, and a second connector is at an opposite end of the main body. An inlet valve is positioned on the main body and configured to receive the fluid to be sent into the drain outlet via the conduit and the first connector. A shut-off valve is positioned on the main body between the inlet valve and the second connector to selectively regulate the direction of flow of the fluid within the conduit from the inlet valve. A fluid supply device is coupled to the inlet valve for selectively supplying the fluid to be sent into the drain outlet via the conduit and the first connector.
