System and method for heating up water for a consumer unit in an aircraft
A system for heating up water for a consumer unit in an aircraft, having a water reservoir and a control unit. The water reservoir has a heating device to heat water held in the water reservoir to a consumer temperature. The control unit controls the heating device so water in the water reservoir is automatically heated to or above a disinfection temperature at which germ formation in the water reservoir is eliminated or suppressed, and a temperature of the water in the water reservoir is maintained at or above the disinfection temperature for a disinfection period, the heating to the disinfection temperature being effected only during flight phases or portions of flight phases of the aircraft during which use of the consumer unit by a user is not to be expected. A corresponding method and an aircraft having such a system are disclosed.

STORAGE WATER HEATER
A storage water heater is provided that allows for improved maintenance of hygiene in a lower part of a hot-water storage tank and in a passage connected to the lower part of the hot-water storage tank. A storage water heater includes a heating device, a hot-water storage tank, a first passage, and a controller. The hot-water storage tank stores hot water. The first passage is connected to a lower part of the hot-water storage tank. The controller is configured to selectively switch between a heat-up operation and a recirculation operation. In the heat-up operation, hot water heated by the heating device is delivered to an upper part of the hot-water storage tank. In the recirculation operation, hot water flowing out from the upper part of the hot-water storage tank is delivered to the lower part of the hot-water storage tank via the first passage.
Hot water tank and flow through heating assembly
A water heater system includes a water tank and a flow-through heating assembly. The water tank contains heated water. The flow-through heating assembly may extend into the water tank and heats water as water is passed through an interior channel of the flow-through heating assembly. In one embodiment, the flow through heater assembly is a thermosiphonic heater having a hollow body and a heating element extending therein such that an annular recess is defined between an interior surface of the hollow body and the external surface of the heating element.

WiFi and cloud enabled temperature control system
A method for electronic, remote control of an existing heating element. A temperature probe is monitored programmatically. That data is managed via wifi connectivity. A user can then control the operation of the device (water heater or other) at any time and from any location.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING HOT WATER
Dispensing of hot water having an adjustable temperature by way of a water outlet fitting that can be installed on a sink. This is achieved by a continuous flow heater and a measured value sensor arranged in a water inlet of the water outlet fitting as the hot water heater. The measured value sensor detects a measurement variable with regard to water flowing through the continuous flow heater (10). The water dispensing device has a control unit, which is designed to regulate a flow rate through the continuous flow heater as a function of measured values of the measured value sensor in order to adjust the temperature of the hot water.
CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMBINATION SPACE AND WATER HEATING
An apparatus and system for a combination space and water heater including a controller device and a method for control. The controller device is a self-contained system that can be added to, or in combination with, existing water heaters and hydronic air heating systems using standard plumbing connections, and provides a potable water system without any need of an intermediary heat exchanger. The controller device automatically monitors a heating capacity of the water heater and the hydronic heating coil over time, and correlates measured heating loads with one or more environmental temperatures, thermostats, user settings, and/or a supplemental heating system.
System and method for preventing bacteria proliferation in an electric water heater tank
A system and a method for preventing bacteria growth and proliferation, and particularly the Legionella bacteria, in a water tank of an electric water heater is described. A small pump is mounted on the water heater and has a power rating greater than the domestic water supply. The pump is controlled by a controller to pump hot water from the upper region of the tank to the lower region of the tank. The pump is connected between the hot water outlet of the tank and the cold water inlet to which an elongated dip tube is secured and with its discharge end positioned in close proximity to the bottom wall of the tank. The controller has a timer and is programmed to pump the hot water during non-peak hours of the utility for a preset time and for a preset period of time depending on such criteria as water quality, public regulations and laws.
HOT WATER TANK WITH THERMAL MIXING VALVE
A water heater system includes a water heater and a thermal mixing valve. The water heater includes a tank and a cap that each define interior volumes. The interior volume of the tank includes a heating element is the location where fluid is heated, whereas the cap includes a volume within which the thermal mixing valve may be disposed. The thermal mixing valve pulls cool and warm water from the volume of the tank, and then discharges a mixed stream of fluid at a user desired temperature via an outlet.
