Hot-water supply apparatus
The present invention improves the user-friendliness of a hot-water supply apparatus when using hot water supply and air conditioning. A switching control unit 27, which switches between heat medium flow paths 4 and 5 according to an air conditioning ready state or a hot-water supply ready state, switches a heat medium flow path to the hot-water supply ready state by a switching valve 21 in the case where air conditioning is not used by the time an air conditioning standby time elapses during standby in the air conditioning ready state.
Heated hose nozzle
A hose nozzle assembly which is capable of heating water comprising an internal heating chamber with at least one heating element. The hose nozzle assembly is able to heat water from a common garden hose with the ability to control both flow rates and temperature.
Tankless water heater with bypass valve operating differently in intermittent operation and normal operation
The water heater may be configured to execute a normal operation in which a heating means is continuously operated in an ON state in a case where a required heat quantity is greater than or equal to a minimum heat quantity. The water heater may be configured to execute an intermittent operation in which the heating means is alternately and repeatedly operated in the ON state and an OFF state repeatedly in a case where the required heat quantity is less than the minimum heat quantity. The water heater may be configured to change a distribution ratio of a flow control mechanism in the normal operation and in the intermittent operation. An operating speed of the flow control mechanism in the intermittent operation may be faster than an operating speed of the flow control mechanism in the normal operation.
System and method for controlling water heater output temperature
A water heater system and method of operating such a system are disclosed herein. In an example embodiment, the water heater system includes a heat exchanger. a heat source inlet by which heated heating fluid can be provided to the heat exchanger, a heat source outlet by which cooled heating fluid can be communicated from the heat exchanger, a water supply inlet by which supply water can be provided to the heat exchanger, and a water supply outlet by which heated water can be communicated from the heat exchanger. Additionally, the system includes a controller, a water supply outlet temperature sensor, a water supply flowmeter, and an actuator. The controller is configured to generate control signals based at least indirectly upon temperature measurements and flow measurements and to provide the control signals to the actuator to regulate a fluid flow of the heated heating fluid into the heat exchanger.
Water heater having highly efficient and compact heat exchanger
A water heater includes an inner water tube coil and an outer water tube coil separated by a drum baffle. The inner and outer coils extend above a top edge of the drum baffle by at least a full turn of each coil. A flue gas bypass path is defined between a top edge of the drum baffle and a top insulation layer above the inner and outer coils. Flue gases flow radially though the inner coil, up along the drum baffle, through the flue gas bypass path, and downwardly over the outer coil to heat water flowing through the inner and outer coils. The water flows into the outer coil at the bottom of the coil, winds upwardly through the outer coil in countercurrent flow with respect to the flue gases, then down through the inner coil.
Heating and hot-water supply apparatus
A heating and hot-water supply apparatus shortens the time taken for hot-water supply to stabilize at a set temperature in response to a request for a hot-water supply operation during a heating operation. The apparatus performs, using a common heating medium heated by a heater, a heating operation by circulating the heating medium through a heating terminal, and a hot-water supply operation of heating service water through heat exchange with the heating medium circulated through a hot-water supply heat exchanger and supplying hot water. A distribution unit (three-way valve) changes a distribution ratio of the heating medium between the heating terminal and the hot-water supply heat exchanger. A controller controls an amount of heat generated by the heater for the heating operation or the hot-water supply operation, and stops heating with the heater when the temperature of the heating medium reaches a predetermined upper-limit temperature.
COMBUSTION DEVICE
The present invention provides a combustion device. In ON-OFF combustion control processing for intermittently performing the combustion operation of burners (4), a control unit (30) of a combustion device (water heater) (1), which includes the burners (4), a fuel supply unit (5), and a combustion fan (10), controls the fuel supply unit (5) and the combustion fan (10) so as to change the amount of a fuel to be supplied to the burners (4) and the number of rotations of the combustion fan (10) according to a required amount of heat for the temperature control of a target fluid (water for hot water supply) when the burners (4) are ignited to restart a combustion operation after the burners (4) are extinguished.
Control apparatus and method for combination space and water heating
An apparatus and system for a combination space and water heater including a controller device and a method for control. The controller device is a self-contained system that can be added to, or in combination with, existing water heaters and hydronic air heating systems using standard plumbing connections, and provides a potable water system without any need of an intermediary heat exchanger. The controller device automatically monitors a heating capacity of the water heater and the hydronic heating coil over time, and correlates measured heating loads with one or more environmental temperatures, thermostats, user settings, and/or a supplemental heating system.
REAL-TIME HEATED WATER SUPPLY MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS FOR WATER HEATERS AND METHODS THERETO
Disclosed herein is a water heating system including a water heater having a tank, and a first temperature sensor disposed toward a top end of the tank to measure a first temperature and a second temperature sensor disposed toward a bottom end of the tank to measure a second temperature. The water heating system can further include a controller communicably coupled to the first temperature sensor and the second temperature sensor, where the controller determines an amount of heated water in the tank based on one or more algorithms and measurements made by the first and second temperature sensors.
