The system includes a database of information about the heating system of the building, a first sensor set arranged to gather fuel consumption information and a second sensor set arranged to gather fuel demand information within the building. The system includes a fuel usage and demand analysis function configured to analyze data from the first sensor set and from the second sensor set to output a determination of operation of the heating system based on consumption information and demand information.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MAKE UP COMBUSTION AIR AND CARBON DIOXIDE DETECTION FOR AN ATMOSPHERIC COMBUSTION APPLIANCE
A system for controlling a combustion appliance based on one or more localized environmental factors and an inlet/exhaust system enclosed within a single enclosure. The control system includes an electrically controlled fuel valve, coupled to a source of combustion appliance fuel, and responsive to a fuel valve control signal, for controlling the flow of fuel to the appliance. An air pressure detector is disposed in an area proximate the combustion appliance and configured for detecting negative air pressure in the proximate area and in response for providing a negative air pressure detection signal to a relay which will deactivate the fuel valve until negative air pressure is not present thereby preventing operation of the combustion appliance. Further, if negative air pressure is detected, the relay energizers a makeup air device to bring an outside air into the area near the combustion appliance.
DRYING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
A forced airflow drying apparatus includes a body including a pair of air inlets to receive inlet air which is channeled to an upstream side of a filter unit, a pair of body airflow generators to generate a first forced airflow, each body airflow generator having a first end and a second end, where the first end of each body airflow generator is opened to a downstream side of the filter unit, a pair of thermoelectric devices configured to control a temperature of the first forced airflow, and a first air outlet, in communication with the second end of each body airflow generator, to receive the forced airflow from the body airflow generators and to expel the forced airflow out of the body. The forced airflow drying apparatus further includes a bar and a drive apparatus configured to movably drive the bar relative to the body, the bar including a second pair of airflow generators to generate a second forced airflow, a pair of resistance heaters to control a temperature of the second forced airflow prior to being expelled from the second air outlet, and a second air outlet to expel the second forced airflow from the bar.
Heater with Energy Save Function
A heating appliance has a multi-position control switch with a non-off lower than highest setting at an extreme distal position and consumes a non-off lower than highest amount of power at that position. The non-off lower setting is indicated as an energy saving setting. The switch has an off position at an extreme proximal position and the appliance consumes no power at that position. The switch has a highest setting position between the proximal and distal positions and the appliance consumes a highest amount of power at that position.
HVAC SYSTEM FLAME SENSOR
A flame sensor for a furnace of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a sensor body and an electrically conductive member of the sensor body. The electrically conductive member is configured to be disposed within a flame region of a burner of the furnace and configured to receive electrical current from a controller of the furnace. The flame sensor also includes an anti-oxidation coating disposed on an outer surface of the electrically conductive member and configured to transmit the electrical current from the electrically conductive member. The anti-oxidation coating is configured to contact a flame produced by the burner and expose the electrical current to the flame.
PTC Heater with Energy Save Function
A heating appliance has electrical circuitry, a controller, a heating element, a temperature sensor, and a power selection switch having a varying power setting for enabling the user to select a varying power heating mode during which the room temperature is sensed by and if below a certain desirable temperature level, the controller causes higher power heating until the room temperature reaches the certain desirable temperature level and then causes lower power heating.
Method for constructing a water circulation device and scale removal device
A method for constructing a water circulation device including a water circulation circuit that circulates water heat-exchanged with a refrigerant heated by a heat pump includes: installing a heater in the water circulation device in contact with the water; depositing scale from the water on the heater by heating the heater while circulating the water in the water circulation circuit; and removing the heater from the water circulation device after the depositing.
CONTROL METHOD OF GAS FURNACE
The present disclosure relates to a control method of a gas furnace comprising a step for measuring an indoor temperature, a step for comparing the indoor temperature with a set temperature for heating, and a step for operating the gas furnace in weak heating with a predetermined heating capacity which is lower than a maximum heating capacity of the gas furnace, when the set temperature for heating is higher than the indoor temperature by a temperature value which is less than a predetermined temperature value, wherein the predetermined heating capacity for weak heating is maintained at a current heating capacity for weak heating, when the gas furnace operates in weak heating, and when an operating duration with the current heating capacity for weak heating is less than a first time value.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR HEATING WATER WITH REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
An apparatus for heating water has a tank for storing water and an air conditioning system that defines a refrigerant flow path through which refrigerant flows. The refrigerant flow path passes through the heat exchanger so that refrigerant heat is contributed to the tank. A control system controls operation of the water heating apparatus.
INDICATOR GENERATING METHOD AND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE METHOD FOR FAILURE PREDICTION FOR A WATER HEATING SYSTEM, SUCH WATER HEATING SYSTEM, AND BEVERAGE MAKER
An indicator generating method for generating an indicator which is suitable for maintenance prediction of a water heating system is proposed. A power state indication device generates a high power consumption signal if a heating device of the water heating system is activated. The time duration of the activation is such an indicator, if no water flow is present. Furthermore, the time interval between subsequent activations is such an indicator. A predictive maintenance method processes these condition-based indicators and determines a remaining useful lifetime according to a predictive maintenance model. The predictive maintenance device outputs a maintenance signal indicating required maintenance, if the remaining useful lifetime drops below a predetermined threshold. The methods may be performed by water heating systems or beverage makers.
