Agricultural Machine With Tire Inflation Control
20170305211 · 2017-10-26 ·

A system for changing pressure in one or more tires of a self-propelled agricultural machine according to a load differential determined using load sensors on opposing locations of the machine. A load differential may be caused by a disproportionate distribution of forces and/or weight on the machine. Load sensors proximal to the tires may allow determining corresponding loads on the tires and, in turn, the load differential. As a result, tires experiencing greater loads may be inflated, whereas tires experiencing lesser loads may be deflated. In addition, a Human Machine Interface (HMI) may be provided in the operator cab to allow an operator to have further control over tire inflation on the fly while operating the machine.

Rear folding toolbar implement

Each wing of a rear folding implement has a wing frame supported on rear wheels for movement along the ground, and a forewing frame and wheel pivotally attached to the wing frame. A center ball joint pivotally connects right and left inner wings and a center wheel assembly supports the center ball joint. The wings extend laterally and the forewing frames are in a lowered position supported on their wheels when in the operating position. To move the wings into a transport position, the implement is towed forward and the wings pivot about the center ball joint to trail rearward and the forewing frames are moved upward to narrow the implement for transport. An air seeder cart hitch is rearward of and near the center ball joint in the operating position, and when the wings trail rearward the cart hitch is near rear ends of the trailing wings.

Turf maintenance or working apparatus with automatically controlled laterally and angularly displaceable swath-based implement

A turf sprayer comprises a transport vehicle that carries a laterally extending spray boom assembly. The spray boom assembly is both laterally displaceable and angularly displaceable relative to the transport vehicle. A controller uses a defined path represented by GPS coordinates to control the operation of various actuators to automatically maintain a reference point on the spray boom assembly on the desired path and to automatically maintain the spray boom assembly perpendicular to the desired path.

A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) based control system is provided for positioning a working component relative to a work surface. Inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, are mounted on the working component and provide positioning signals to a control compute engine. A method of positioning a working component relative to a work surface using GNSS-based positioning signals is also disclosed.

A storage tank sump arrangement for an agricultural implement. One agricultural implement includes row units configured to deliver flowable agricultural product to a field. The agricultural implement also includes a storage tank configured to hold the flowable agricultural product. The storage tank includes a first sump and a second sump. Further, the first sump is positioned adjacent to a front portion of the storage tank relative to a direction of travel and the second sump is positioned adjacent to a rear portion of the storage tank relative to the direction of travel. The agricultural implement includes a pump in fluid communication with the first sump and the second sump. The pump is configured to pump the flowable agricultural product from the storage tank to the row units.

FLOW DIVERTER FOR A FERTILIZATION SYSTEM
20170245424 · 2017-08-31 ·

A fertilization system may include a flow diverter to divert a portion of water from a ground irrigation system through a tank containing fertilizer and back into the ground irrigation system by creating a high pressure region up stream of the flow diverter and a low pressure region down stream of the flow diverter to provide hydraulic operation of the fertilization system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HANDLING FLUID FOR APPLICATION TO AGRICULTURAL FIELDS

A fluid dispensing apparatus includes a container defining an interior space for holding a fluid. The container is configured to separate the fluid into a liquid and a vapor such that at least a portion of the vapor is disposed above the liquid. The container includes a sidewall and a top wall connected to the sidewall. A fluid inlet and a fluid outlet are disposed in the sidewall. A plurality of vapor valves are releasably connected to the top wall. The top wall includes a plurality of recesses and a plurality of passageways connecting the plurality of recesses to at least one outlet in the top wall. Each of the plurality of vapor valves is disposed within one of the plurality of recesses, and the plurality of vapor valves is configured to regulate the flow of fluid through the plurality of passageways and exhaust vapor disposed above the liquid.

Weight distribution controlled by sectioned product container of agricultural application implements

A self-propelled agricultural product application implement such as high clearance sprayer and/or spreader is provided that includes a product container that is sectioned. Emptying of the container sections is controlled to approximate a target front-to-back weight distribution of the implement for a substantially long period of time during a product application session. An outlet system having multiple variable outlet arrangements is arranged between the product container and an application arrangement such as a spray boom or a rotary broadcaster. The variable outlet arrangements are configured to allow the container sections to sequentially empty to maintain ballast provided by the store product at relatively later portions of the implement for a relatively longer period of time during the product application session.
