The processor may be in communication with the return-air temperature sensor and the supply-air temperature sensor. The processor may be programmed to determine a working-fluid-charge condition of the heat-pump system based on the first and second air temperatures.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING FREEZING WHEN FOUR-WAY VALVE IN HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER IS FAILED, AND HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER
The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for preventing freezing when a four-way valve in a heat pump water heater is failed, which includes following acts: In act S1, it is judged that whether current water temperature T is lower than a preset minimum temperature T.sub.min , for the water tank, if yes, perform act S2; if no, perform act S1 again. In act S2, it is judged that whether a cooling rate Td of the current water temperature T is greater than or equal to a preset rate ΔT; or, it is judged that whether the current water temperature T satisfies T<T.sub.min−a and whether T<T.sub.min−a stands for a first time period t1, in which a is a limit value of a temperature difference; if at least one yes, perform act S3, otherwise, return to act S1. In act S3, a heat pump system is controlled to stop and an electric auxiliary heating system is started. By judging whether a cooling rate Td of the current water temperature T is greater than or equal to a preset rate ΔT; or by judging whether the current water temperature T satisfies T<T.sub.min−a and whether T<T.sub.min−a stands for a first time period t1, it may be judged precisely that whether the four-way valve is failed, which avoids a misjudgment.
Recirculating bath
A recirculating bath includes a reservoir for receiving a working liquid, a recirculating pump, and at least one thermal element. The recirculating pump and thermal element are located externally to the reservoir so that the reservoir has an unobstructed working space. The thermal element may be thermally coupled to the working liquid through an interior surface of the reservoir, or the working liquid may be circulated over the thermal element by the recirculating pump in a chamber external to the reservoir. The recirculating bath may also include a lid that provides access to the reservoir by pivoting on a latching hinge. When open, the lid may provide a working surface adjacent to the reservoir. The lid may also include a selector that unlatches the hinge so that the lid can be removed. The recirculating pump may be fluidically coupled to the reservoir via a manifold.
GAS CONTROL SYSTEM
An apparatus includes a high-pressure tank, a controller, a valve, controlled by the controller, and a heater.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REMOTELY DIAGNOSING AN ABNORMALITY IN A CLIMATE CONTROL DEVICE
A method for remotely diagnosing an abnormality in a climate control device includes the following steps: (a) receiving, at a diagnostic device remote from the climate control device, a signal representing one or more operating parameters of the climate control device, (b) generating, at the diagnostic device, an operating state metric at least partially from the signal representing the one or more operating parameters, (c) comparing, at the remote diagnostic device, the operating state metric to a reference metric, and (d) diagnosing, at the remote diagnostic device, the abnormality in response to a difference between the operating state metric and the reference metric.
Controller for heating system diagnostics and operation
This invention provides an electronic control for combination (fuel-fired boiler and electric heat pump) building space and water heating systems that optimizes operation of such within the operating temperature limits and heat capability of both the heat pump and boiler unit in the combination system. In a diagnostic mode, the controller assesses the ability of existing heat radiation systems in thermostatically controlled zones to meet heating loads at different operating temperature limits of the heat pump and boiler. The system/controller provides information to guide most effective deployment of system heat-dissipation devices. In its normal operating mode, the controller is capable of receiving input signals from zone thermostats, the boiler and heat pump, along with current outdoor temperature and other data, processing and evaluating inputs over time, and outputting control signals. The controller facilitates use of a combined heat pump and boiler heating system with minimum equipment, installation, and operational cost.
HOT WATER SUPPLY DEVICE AND HOT WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
A hot water supply device (10) is provided with: a first device (for example, a kitchen remote controller (13)) for performing control relating to hot water supply; a second device (for example, a water heater (11)) that is communicably connected to the first device and performs control relating to hot water supply; and a communication unit that is provided in the first device and can be connected to an external communication network. The first device divides data of control software of the second device acquired from an external device (for example, a server (50)) via the communication unit, into a plurality of parts, and transmits to the second device.

A method for identifying an electric water heater having excessive and abnormal electricity consumption for detecting inefficiency or even a malfunction comprising the following steps: The present invention provides a method for automatic detection of inefficient household heater within a group of monitored households, implemented by a server module and a plurality of household client modules, wherein each of said a server module and plurality of household client modules comprising one or more processors, operatively coupled to non-transitory computer readable storage devices, on which are stored modules of instruction code, wherein execution of said instruction code by said one or more processors implements the following actions: acquiring data relating to each monitored household, including at least part of: environmental conditions, power consumption of each water heater, household profile parameters, and household residents' profile parameters; detect events wherein the water heater's power consumption (P) surpasses a predefined threshold (Pth), and henceforth label said detected events as “water heater activation” events; For each house (i) in the training set, and per each consumption day (d), define a binary label L.sub.id. Said label marks the water heater's activity as either ‘Normal’ or ‘Abnormal’ per house i and day d. Initialize all labels as ‘normal training a machine learning algorithm, to create at least one classification model, wherein all monitored households are classified according to said acquired data and parameters; and Using the Activation Events Classification Model after the training stage, to predict the binary label, L.sub.id, or number activation per day that a specific household (i), from beyond the household training set has surpassed a predefined number of water heater activation events (n) within a day.
