Solar module mounting system
A solar module mounting bracket system including a plurality of solar modules including mounting slots formed in a sidewall of the solar module, a torque tube configured to support the solar modules such that they can be rotated, a plurality of mounting brackets configured for integration with the torque tube and to which the plurality of solar modules are mounted, at least one first retainer assembly connected to one of the plurality of mounting brackets, the first retainer assembly including a through bolt, a spring, a mounting tab, and nut. When a solar module is placed on the mounting bracket and supported by the torque tube the mounting tab retainer assembly is received in the mounting slot of the solar module.
Truss foundation adapters for single-axis trackers
A one-piece truss adapter for supporting single-axis trackers with truss foundations. A upside-down Y-shaped structure has bearing support portion and an opposing pair of legs with an angularly adjustable connector for securely joining the one-piece adapter to a pair of driven screw anchors at different angular orientations. Each leg terminates in a connector that is received in a socket integral to a driving coupler at the head of each screw anchor. A retaining nut may hold the connector in place to complete the angularly adjustable assembly.
END CLAMP FOR FIXING A FRAMED PV MODULE
An end clamp (01) for fixing a framed PV module (02) on a support profile (03), includes a console element (05) fixed to the support profile (03), and including a clamp strap (04) for holding down the frame (08) of the PV module (02), the clamp strap (04) having at least one clamping surface (07) in contact with the frame (08) of the PV module (02) in a clamping manner. The clamp strap (04) has a supporting surface (17) which contacts a side of a contact surface (20) of the console element (05) while supporting the clamp strap (04). A turnbuckle (06) engages between the clamp strap (04) and the console element (05) for tightening the clamp strap (04) against the console element (05) to hold down the frame (08) of the PV module (02). An least one fixing element (18) is provided at the supporting surface (17) of the clamp strap (04). The fixing element (18) is fixed to a counter fixing element (21) having a complementary shape in a positive and/or frictional manner in the contact surface (20) of the console element (05). An approximation of the supporting surface (17) of the clamp strap (04) towards the support profile (03) is excluded by positive mechanical engagement and/or frictional connection between the fixing element (18) and the counter fixing element (21).
PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE SUPPORT SYSTEM
A photovoltaic (“PV”) module support system including a first PV module having a first PV panel adapted to generate electrical energy from sunlight. The first PV panel has an upper surface and a lower surface and a first frame secured to the lower surface of the first PV panel. The first frame having a pair of first frame members including an elongate slot. A first joining rail has a body and a first wall projecting outwardly from the body. The first wall is inserted within the elongate slot of one of the pair of the first frame members. A fastener is connected to the one of the pair of first frame members and movable to clamp the wall within the slot, wherein the first PV module is positionally fixed relative to the joining rail.
Apparatus for securing and covering a clamping device for solar panel modules
The present invention is directed to a covering for a clamping assembly used to connect and ground solar panel modules to a mounting rail. The covering comprises a sleeve including an outer cover for connecting to the solar panel module and a connector shaped to be contained within the outer cover and connected to the outer cover through two or more flanges. The connector has an opening there through to receive a female member of the clamping assembly.
Solar panel coupling stabilization system
In various embodiments, a stabilization assembly may comprise a shaft, a foot, a snap plate and a nut. The foot may be operatively coupled to the shaft. The snap plate may be configured to surround and retain the shaft. The nut may be installable on the shaft and engagable to raise and lower a foot. The stabilization assembly may be installed in a solar panel coupling. The foot may be driven to engagement with a roof surface in response to the coupling being installed on the roof.
MOUNTING BRACKET EXTENSION
An extension panel may include a mating surface shaped to interface with a back surface of a clamp that includes a mounting hole corresponding to a bolt slot in the back surface of the clamp to accommodate a single bolt passing through the extension panel and the clamp. The extension panel may also include a pair of flanges projecting outward from the mating surface and positioned to be on either side of the clamp. The extension panel may also include a flat top surface generally parallel and aligned linearly with another flat top surface of a flexible member. The extension flat top surface may be sized to be approximately a same width as the flexible member at a first end of the extension flat top surface proximate the mating surface and may flare out as the extension flat top surface extends away from the flexible member.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR A SOLAR PANEL
A support structure for a solar panel includes a beam disposed above a post. The beam includes a first side recessed inwards to form a first rectilinear groove extending in a longitudinal direction of the beam. The first rectilinear groove includes a groove opening having two opposite edges each of which inclines downwards to form a slant face connected to the first side. A spacing between two opposite inclined groove walls of the first rectilinear groove gradually decreases towards the groove opening. A U-shaped saddle is disposed between the post and the beam and straddles a top portion of the post. Two sides of the saddle respectively abut two outer faces of the post and are secured to the post. A top portion of the saddle is secured to the beam by a fastener unit.
