The insertion rail has a mounting wall configured for connection to the solar panel mounting system, wherein the mounting wall is posited at a lower end of a first side of the insertion rail, a vertical leg coupled to the mounting wall at at least one location, wherein the vertical leg is positioned at a second side of the insertion rail, and at least one mating section located at an upper end of the insertion rail. The mating section has an upper tab, a lower tab and the upper tab and lower tab are configured to receive and secure a solar panel integrally therewith using an interference fit.
Waterproofing mounting system for attaching solar modules to a roof
A roof mounting system for the attachment of an article to a roof, the system comprising a plurality of PV modules each having at least one corner and a frame member, a flashing member having a top surface; an upstanding sleeve attached to the top surface of the flashing member; an elevated water seal having a borehole formed therethrough, the elevated water seal further comprising at least one screw for providing a waterproof seal between the article and the roof structure; and whereby the plurality of PV modules are interlocked in a way to provide a corner-to-corner coupling arrangement supported above the roof through the frame members of the plurality of PV modules.
TILE SYSTEM
A tile system comprises at least two tiles and at least one elongate support. Each tile is generally rectangular in shape and has a first edge, and a second edge, the second edge being generally opposite the first edge. Each elongate support has an attachment portion and a support portion. Proximate the first edge each tile is provided with a groove, the groove being configured to receive the support portion of one of the elongate supports and a portion of an adjacent tile proximate its second edge.
Waterproofing mounting system for attaching solar modules to a roof

PANEL MOUNTING BRACKET WITH GROUNDING MID-CLAMP AND RELATED METHODS
A system for mounting solar panels on a building may include panel mounting brackets each including a base to be positioned on the building and a vertical extension having a proximal end coupled to the base and a distal end vertically spaced apart from the base. The system may also include interior mounting clamps each including a leg having a proximal end to be coupled to the distal end of the vertical extension of a given panel mounting bracket and a distal end. Each interior mounting clamp may also include a first lateral arm for securing a first solar panel to the given panel mounting bracket, and a second lateral arm for securing a second solar panel to the given panel mounting bracket. The second lateral arm may have a bottom surface positioned vertically above a bottom surface of the first lateral arm along the leg.
Securing fixture for photovoltaic cell module
A securing fixture for a photovoltaic cell module that includes a first frame member that extends in a first direction; and a second frame member that extends in a second direction and is adjacent to the first frame member, the second direction being orthogonal to the first direction, the securing fixture being enclosed by a frame member having a corner portion formed by the first frame member and the second frame member. The securing fixture includes an abutting part that is fixed to a trestle and abuts on the trestle; and a holding part that holds the photovoltaic cell module, including a first protrusion that protrudes in a direction opposite to the abutting part, and abuts on an inner surface of the corner portion of the frame member, and a placing part on which the second frame member is placed.
Lightweight, low-cost heliostat mirror for concentrating solar power
Systems and methods are described herein that may be used to form a heliostat. Various reflective surfaces and support structures are described that permit lightweight construction of configurable heliostats.
Panel mounting bracket with grounding mid-clamp and related methods
A system for mounting a plurality of solar panels on a building may include mounting brackets each including a base to be positioned on the building and a vertical extension coupled to the base. A plurality of interior mounting clamps may each include a leg to be coupled to the vertical extension of a given panel mounting bracket. Each interior mounting clamp may also include a first lateral arm coupled to a distal end of the leg on a first side thereof for securing a first panel to the given panel mounting bracket with the first lateral arm having a first thickness, and a second lateral arm coupled to the distal end of the leg on a second side thereof opposite the first side for securing a second panel to the given panel mounting bracket with the second lateral arm having a second thickness less than the first thickness.
