The top includes second openings, and each second opening is configured to receive the drilling string. The wellhead container includes a sidewall extending along a vertical axis between the base and the top. The sidewall is configured to position an upper surface of the top substantially flush with the surface of the ground, and the sidewall is configured to transfer at least a portion of the load to the base.
Thermal well heat carrier transport system and method for installation of the same
The disclosed invention concerns a method for installing and operating a thermal well (110) heat carrier transport system (100). A first flexible tubular part (120) is provided into and along a thermal well (110), a second flexible tubular part (130) is provided into the first flexible tubular part (120) and a third open ended tubular part (140) is provided into the second flexible tubular part (130). During installation and operation an installation liquid and heat carrier, respectively, is provided into the second flexible tubular part at an overpressure sufficient to press the first flexible tubular part (120) radially against the inner all of the thermal well (110) in all radial directions. The invention also concerns a system.
Method of deploying a heat exchanger pipe
A new system for and a method of deploying a heat exchanger pipe. A bore hole is drilled from an access ditch location to a terminal ditch location using a piloted drill head powered via an umbilical attached to the piloted drill head. A casing is attached to the piloted drill head and disposed about the umbilical into the bore hole from the access ditch location to the terminal ditch location. At the terminal ditch location, the piloted drill head is removed from the casing and the umbilical and a heat exchanger pipe is attached to the umbilical. The umbilical is withdrawn from within the casing deployed in the bore hole to pull the heat exchanger pipe into the casing. The casing is then withdrawn from the bore hole leaving the heat exchanger pipe in the bore hole.
Method for Forming High Efficiency Geothermal Wellbores
Wellbore synthesis techniques are disclosed suitable for use in geothermal applications. Embodiments are provided where open hole drilled wellbores are sealed while drilling to form an impervious layer at the wellbore/formation interface. The techniques may be chemical, thermal, mechanical, biological and are fully intended to irreversibly damage the formation in terms of the permeability thereof. With the permeability negated, the wellbore may be used to create a closed loop surface to surface geothermal well operable in the absence of well casing for maximizing thermal transfer to a circulating working fluid. Formulations for the working and drilling fluids are disclosed.
System for generation of thermal energy
Boreholes used for generating geothermal energy or other purposes are formed at least in part by accelerating projectiles toward geologic material. Interaction between a projectile and the geologic material may generate debris or other material. The temperature of this generated material may be used to determine the potential for generation of geothermal energy using the borehole. Based on the temperature of the material, a fluid having a different temperature than that of the material is provided into the borehole for generation of power using geothermal energy.
Well completion converting a hydrocarbon production well into a geothermal well
A well completion to convert a hydrocarbon production well into a geothermal well includes flow tubes to transport a working fluid through the well and a heat exchanger at a downhole location coupled to the flow tubes to exchange heat of the formation at the downhole location with the working fluid. A heat exchange fluid surrounds the heat exchanger at the downhole location to be heated by the formation at the downhole location. The heat exchanger heats the working fluid to a state in which the working fluid rises to the surface. At the surface, a power plant uses the heated working fluid to generate work. The working fluid is then cooled and returned to the downhole location to repeat the work generation cycle.
SELF-CONTAINED IN-GROUND GEOTHERMAL GENERATOR AND HEAT EXCHANGER WITH IN-LINE PUMP USED IN SEVERAL ALTERNATIVE APPLICATIONS INCLUDING THE RESTORATION OF THE SALTON SEA
Provided here is an architectural plan (the solution) for the restoration of the terminal lake, the Salton Sea, an area of prevalent geothermal sources. It includes division of the Lake into three sections, preventing pollution of the Lake from nearby farmlands and importing seawater in central section with pipeline system; providing condition for tourism, and wildlife sanctuary; generating electricity by harnessing hydro, solar, and geothermal energy; and producing potable water and lithium as byproducts. Also includes a system and method for harnessing geothermal energy for generation of electricity by using complete closed loop heat exchange systems combined with onboard drilling apparatus. The system includes several devices operating separately in many different applications in energy sectors, Also, included is alternative use for the In-Line-Pump for marine crafts propulsion.

Geothermal heat mining system
A geothermal heat mining system can operate within a single primary borehole in a geothermal reservoir. A primary fluid loop can include a cold working fluid line leading into the primary borehole and a hot working fluid line coming out of the primary borehole. A secondary fluid loop can be located down the primary borehole, where the secondary fluid loop is in thermal contact with the geothermal reservoir and is entirely subsurface. A downhole heat mining device can control a rate of heat transfer from the secondary fluid loop to the primary fluid loop by selectively controlling fluid flow through the primary fluid loop, the secondary fluid loop, or both.
TUBING SUPPORT DEVICE
A thermal tubing support device that includes: a horizontal bar, where the horizontal bar includes a first end and second end; side support frame, extending from each end of the horizontal bar; and a base, where the base is attached to the distal end each side support frame. Each side support frame preferably includes two rollers, where the two rollers of each side support removably attaches to each end of the horizontal bar. Further, preferably, the two rollers of each side support attach to the base at opposing corners. The base preferably includes four sides, where two sides of the base include rollers. The thermal tubing support device may further include a support loop attached to the horizontal bar, where the support loop provides a means to support the support device in an elevated position.
