Heat exchanger
The disclosure relates to a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a shell and heat exchange tube bundles located in the shell, the shell has an inlet and an outlet, and a refrigerant flows in through the inlet, exchanges heat with a fluid in the heat exchange tube bundles, and then flows out from the outlet, and the outlet is provided with an extension section that extends into an interior of the shell and has a receiving portion configured to receive at least a part of a liquid in the refrigerant flowing toward the outlet after heat exchange. The disclosure is easy to manufacture, install and maintain, and has a low cost. By optimizing the structure of an outlet pipeline of the heat exchanger, the influence of liquid carryover can be effectively controlled, and the overall performance, safety and reliability of the system can be enhanced.
Compressor protection and control in HVAC systems
Provided are a method and apparatus for controlling the operation of a compressor of an HVAC system in response to the refrigerant super heat value for refrigerant within the compressor. First and second signals are received for indicating one or more temperature values of refrigerant substantially at the first compressor sump and within the first distributor tube, respectively. A saturated suction temperature is estimated using at least the second signal. A first super heat value is calculated for refrigerant substantially at the first compressor sump using at least the saturated suction temperature and the one or more temperature values indicated by the first signal. A first control signal is generated for at least de-energizing the first compressor if the calculated first super heat value is below a tolerance value defining the minimum super heat value at which the first compressor may be operated.
Dual mass cooling precision system
Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for cooling using both air and/or liquid cooling sub circuits. A vapor compression cooling system having both an air and liquid cooling sub circuit designed to service high sensible process heat loads that cannot be solely cooled by either liquid or air is provided.
Heat exchanger and air conditioner
A heat exchanger exchanges heat between refrigerant flowing inside and air flowing outside. The heat exchanger includes: an upstream-side flat tube; downstream-side flat tubes on a downstream side of the upstream-side flat tube in a direction of air flow; and a space formation member that defines a distribution space in which the refrigerant coming out of the upstream-side flat tube is distributed to the downstream-side flat tubes.
Direct expansion evaporator with vapor ejector capacity boost
A system and method for increasing the refrigeration capacity of a direct expansion refrigeration system having a vapor separator and a vapor ejector. After the throttling process at the expansion device, the mixture of liquid and vapor enters the inlet separator. The vapor separator generates vapor to power the ejector through flashing of warm refrigerant liquid from a higher temperature and pressure to a lower pressure. The cooler refrigerant liquid then goes to the evaporator coil inlet. Furthermore, the system stabilizes the superheat of the outlet vapor and reduces fluctuations in outlet superheat caused by excess unevaporated liquid flowing from the outlets of the tubes due to mal-distribution at the inlet.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus (1) is capable of performing a refrigeration cycle using a small-GWP refrigerant. The refrigeration cycle apparatus (1) includes a refrigerant circuit (10) and a refrigerant enclosed in the refrigerant circuit (10). The refrigerant circuit includes a compressor (21), a condenser (23), a decompressing section (24), and an evaporator (31). The refrigerant contains at least 1,2-difluoroethylene.
Heat exchanger for heat pump applications
A heat exchanger includes a first header and a second header. The second header has at least a first volume and a second volume. The second header additionally includes a bend region such that the second header has a non-linear configuration. A flow restricting element is arranged within the second header within the bend region. A plurality of heat exchange tubes is arranged in spaced parallel relationship and fluidly coupling the first header and second header.
Microchannel heat exchanger
A heat exchanger assembly includes a plurality of flattened heat exchanger tubes. The plurality of heat exchanger tubes include a bend that separates the plurality of heat exchanger tubes between extending in a first plane and extending in a second plane transverse to the first plane. An inlet manifold is in fluid communication with the plurality of heat exchanger tubes and includes a distribution insert at least partially extending through an inlet opening in the inlet manifold. An outlet manifold is in fluid communication with the plurality of heat exchanger tubes and includes an outlet opening spaced inward from opposing ends of the outlet manifold.
THERMAL EXPANSION VALVE FOR A HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT EXCHANGER WITH A THERMAL EXPANSION VALVE
The present invention pertains to a thermal expansion valve for a heat exchanger with at least one header. The valve includes a valve block and a superheat defining mechanism. The valve block includes a high pressure inlet, a low pressure outlet, a first suction gas port and a second suction gas port. A contact surface for coupling the valve to the header includes at least one cylindrical portion of the valve block. The invention is also directed at a heat exchanger with a corresponding thermal expansion valve.
Flow balancer and evaporator having the same
The present invention relates to a flow balancer for an evaporator, comprising: a permeable assembly comprising at least one gas- and fluid-permeable plate and located above a heat exchange tube bundle of the evaporator; a sealing assembly disposed on a periphery of the permeable assembly and constructed to be nonpermeable to gas and fluid; and a mounting assembly constructed to support the permeable assembly and the sealing assembly. The present invention also relates to an evaporator comprising the flow balancer. The flow balancer of the present invention has the advantages of simple structure and convenient manufacturing and mounting, can balance the pressure distribution above the heat exchange tube bundle, and can achieve a more even distribution of the refrigerant liquid level in the length direction of the heat exchange tube bundle.
